Congrats to Amber (AmberBella) for winning the Water COTW! As winner, Amber gets to select our next topic and she has chosen "Ordinary as Extraordinary" for our assignment.
Take something ordinary and make art with it. It could be a moment in the day...a still life photo of something you use all the time. The possibilities are endless and it gives us the opportunity to see the grand in our everyday surroundings.
I must.... participate.

I ADORE THAT ONE STEPHANIE!!!!!!!
I feel like this picture needs some background to truly understand why I feel the way I do about it but I think it fits the description very well. This is one of my nephews high school senior pictures that I took for him. He is really smart but got into some bad stuff this year. He was failing school and dropped out in April a month before graduating although he was failing so he wasn't going to walk. He called me up and asked to move in with me and me help him get his life back on track. He moved in the beginning of May with me. We went up to the high school together and plead his case begging to allow him to repeat his senior year. They accepted him and put him in the lab which he started the very next day. After a week of some serious hard work both in school and at home he completed all of his missing assignments, passed all of his final exams, and managed to bring all his F's to either A's or B's. He graduated May 27th and now has his high school diploma. I am super proud that I got to help him accomplish this. He was almost a high school drop out but with some help and support he completed school. I was honored when he asked me to do his senior portraits since he missed out on them. I have many shots I took but I love this one of him in his cap and gown.
