I have learned this much, when taking an indoor photo, you need a higher ss to make the photos not so yellow/orange. Your pics are looking yellow/orange. Your ss is wayyyyy too low to be doing photos of people. You always want a ss of 1/125 or higher. I pefer 1/200 myself.
Natural light is best, but of course, sometimes indoors you don't have the greatest light. Practice outside. That's where I do 99.9% of my photos.

I'm not sure how SS affects color, but I agree your pics need a higher SS to prevent blur. You could up your ISO indoors too if there's not mugh good light.
For the first one, I think a landscape orientation would have worked much better, and getting a bit closer to the subjects, to show it off as a more intimate moment. Having them both partially chopped off in a portrait orientation doesn't look as good IMO. It's also tilted.
The 2nd pic is cute but just needed better light and white balance, and higher SS. And maybe both arms

I agree with the CC.
One thing that truly helped me was go thru the sticky tutorial on this forum. Can't wait to see more pics from you.
