I went to Victoria to visit my little cousin and meet her 8 month old daughter for the first time. Believe it or not, she doesn't even have a camera. The only pictures she has of her baby are a couple that other people have taken while visiting her. So we stopped at the park on the way to the ferry to take some pics of them. It was pretty difficult to find a shady spot, and we had about 10 minutes and two fussy babies, so we had to make the best of it excuses, excuses
These were the best ones... CC if you like.

I love the shots of her and the baby. I just wish that the background wasn't so blowout and bright.
Have you tried masking the background and bringing the brightness down? That might help a bit. You already know that your ISO was pretty high. But the focus is pretty good, it's a very cute picture.

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
Very sweet shots! I think they look great other than the sky, which doesnt bother me too much. She will love these pics! The first one is my favorite, as it shows a loving connection between them!
Sometimes it's impossible to avoid a blown sky--I think the difficulty here is that her head is completely surrounded by the blown sky AND she has super bright blond air, so the combination is kind of harsh. Normally some blown sky won't bother me, but it is a bit distracting here.
The two of them together look darling though, and she will love having these memories! And what a beautiful girl she is!
She is going to ADORE these! Yes, they sky is blown, but honestly, I think it still looks great. She needs to invest in a camera!

These are really nice, I agree about the bright sky- it's just that it makes her look washed out, especially in #2. Shes going to love these
