I've been killing myself trying to find a new logo concept and branding. I hate what I have and it just doesn't work at all for my headshot work. I was complaining to my husband that my business name just doesn't have anything about it that lends itself to a logo and that I was just stuck with my initials.
Rich said...are you kidding me? Amber! Duh.
So, now not only do I have a logo concept to work towards...I also have a new portraiture tagline. "Your memories preserved". I don't know why fossilized amber hadn't occurred to me before. I will be stuck with amber inspired orange, gold, red, and green for colors...but I think I can work with that. I'm thinking I'll have a piece of amber with either my initials or a butterfly or something frozen in it. I also thought for portraiture I could use a trio of amber with a baby in one, a couple in another and a belly in the third. I dunno...I'm just glad to finally have a little direction here.
I'll be off to design outpost as soon as I can drum up the cash for a newly designed logo. I'm so glad I complained to DH.
What do you guys think?
I totally like that idea!! And I really love "Your memories preserved". Great tagline! I can't wait to see what you come up with.
CAN'T wait to see what you finish with! I had a hard time coming up with mine and mine will have to stick. GREAT JOB!
That's a fantastic idea! Love it, can't wait to see the logo when it's done!

Oh, no...not this time! I've come with a mock up idea and created an inspiration sheet for the designers at Design Outpost to look at, but that is where my creative input will end. I've spent more than enough time trying to come up with my own branding to learn that I'm okay at it...but I'm not great. I don't want to spend another 40 hrs coming up with something else that I'm just going to end up hating, so I'm going to understand my limitations and let someone else do it!
Cindy...dragonfly is a good idea too and thanks for the color suggestions!
That's a pretty neat idea. Interested to see how it turns out.
