This shoot was terrible! I was afraid to even start editing themMom was rushing me and at 2 1/2 hours (when baby was finally settling into a deep sleep) she decided she was ready to be done. I had told her we would need closer to 4 hours, but had to respect her when she called it quits. Lighting was rotten, space was super cramped (couldn't even use my 50) and baby was VERY attached to pacifer, had just been circumcised (wouldn't curl or close legs), squirmy, etc.
Here are a few for CC. Settings are SS 1/200, f/2.8 and ISO between 400-640
and just for fun

Beth... mom to Andrea 7-26-97, Gavin 10-16-01, Kade 5-25-08 and Bentli Grace 09-09-09.
He's precious. My fave is the one with his eyes open... adorable! And I like the first two also.
I can't really comment on color (cheapo laptop screen), just the two things I notice is that #3 looks a bit soft and the last one looks a bit bright to me around the top of his head particularly (but again, could be crappy screen on that last one).
Sorry they gave you such a hard time... I'm glad I just take pics of my own family... I don't think I could handle the pressure!![]()
Photographing newborns is so hard. I love doing it because I love babies so darn much, but yeah the time thing is just hard to determine sometimes you can get all you need in an hour but I am of the understanding that it can take hours and hours. My nephew's shoot on saturday was great because there was no time restraint. Took ages to get sleepy posable baby. while we sweated in 30 degree heat for the sake of the shoot.
1 & 2 are lovely.
3 and 4. great concept There is definitely something wrong with the skin tones, especially 4.
love 5 & 6. gorgeous open eyes
last one is my fave. love the conversion though I would probably up the contrast or increase the black a little!
