Dumb question: Catchlights and backlighting
I found a couple of potentially good locations for doing some golden hour shoots with my kids (still trying to get the 'perfect' picture for a canvas gift for our parents), but both of them would be backlit... which isn't a problem, because I love backlit photos. But I started to wonder, is it hard to get good light in the eyes when your subject is backlit? I don't have a reflector, so I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't go this route if there's going to be an issue.
I know I could just take them out there and try, but one of the locations in particular has no other alternative but backlit shots, so I'd kind of like to know if I'm wasting my time before I dress them up and take them down there.
