I actually have a person pic for cc, whoa!
The sun was going down and I didn't get the light I hoped for last evening, but I took Eva out for a quick jaunt around the yard anyway.
I am usually ok at fixing color but this one I am still seeing something off even after my adjustments. Please cc?
The steps I took:
1) I used levels to bring up the middtones (sooc was too dark), then added a touch of highlights, and a touch of shadows.
2) tiny bit of clarity
3) it looked too red so I went into red channel levels and tweaked the red; then I saw some green and/or yellow so I tried to tweak those too.
4) a little touch of dodging on catchlights (mainly because Eva's left eye is smaller and has a contact lens in it so that catchlight is usually not as bright)
Does this look funky to you? I went back in after my first edit and tried to decrease red even more but it still looks off to me?? not sure.
It doesn't look funky to me, but as you probably know, I'm not the best with colour. Also, I've noticed in photos of her before that her skin tone is a bit different from my kids, so sometimes that makes it harder to judge. It's an adorable photo though!
(Interesting, I was just thinking last night whether kids ever wear contacts!)

I think the skin tone is ok - overall I think you need to warm it up - she looks cool.

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
Ok thanks both. Yes Eva does have a tad darker skin tone from her daddy's side....she is 1/4 Cuban....and I am a total ghost usually, LOL
Now that you say her skin tone is a bit darker, I think it looks fine! Great shot! Great catchlights too!
Thanks Sadie! Her shirt looks way bright on my home PC, ugh. That makes me not want to edit on here. (I edited it on another pc)
I just did an evening shoot at the park and I am sooo excited, the light was amazing and I think I got some beautiful pics of Eva and I can't wait to share them and see what you think.
Thanks Kerry & Sadie!
