I know I am a bad board member and barely pop on now and then... but now that I have moved back to Oregon I am super excited to have seasons again. I mentioned to my hubby the other day that I wanted to take some photos of the kids playing in the leaves if it stayed dry enough. The next day, when the kids and I got home from a morning at the Children's Museum, I found that he had not only raked up bunches of colorful leaves, he also hauled them all to the middle of our backyard for full play and enjoyment! I took around 300 photos (122 keepers) and hardly had to touch them in post. I narrowed it down a bit for the share... I know a lot of these might be mommy goggles... but CC welcome too!
Working on handing over the camera now and then... I want my kids to know I played WITH them, not just photographed them having fun!

What fun! How awesome that DH did up that fabulous pile of leaves for play! The shots look great, and you can see the fun everyone is having.
I try to do that to, both for the memories and play-time with the kids... and to let DH enjoy the camera, because he does have fun taking pictures to!

I love these, Beth!! Those leaves are a gorgeous color! We have mostly brown in our back yard.
I agree with you on getting out from behind the camera. The past couple of months I have been handing over the camera more often, despite the groans from my hubby![]()
