A far stretch but I thought I would try...

Hey girls, still no update on the freckle face girl as I have been so busy helping with sr. pics and quinceaneras. I will update it soon though cause we are going to add it to his website!!!
Anyways, I heard Jasmin has a large picture up in the American Girl doll store in Mall of America. Wondering if anyone lives near it or is visiting it this summer. I will pay someone $50.00 bucks to get a shot of it for me if you are there which would be alot cheaper than going there to take it myself. The thing that sucks is we were just there not too long ago! I am not sure if anyone on here is even from Minnesota but I thought I would try???

I'm not in Minnesota, sorry, I know if I were able to get you a picture of an ad with your daughter I would gladly do it (likely free if you just wanted a digital copy).

I live near the Mall of America and we will be going there sometime this summer. If you send me an idea of what I am suppose to take a picture of, and your email address (PM it to me) and I will do my best!

sorry just saw this now! if you are in the mall of america she is on every directory in the mall. I am not sure if they used that same picture in the store or not? Also if you get the mall of America brochure she is on the front cover. I have the brochure and pictures of the directorys so I can send you a copy but I think or I hope the pic in the store is just her alone. She is also on the american girl website right now I believe but I will have to search for the picture cause it is a few pages in. I will ask the person who saw her what the picture looks like. I only got a quick message about it so still unsure. Let me get some shots and links and I will pm them to you. If you can't it's no problem but if you happen to be there I would really appreciate it.

I also live somewhat near the Mall of America, and will definitely be going sometime in the near future. You can send me info too, if you'd like.

Tia, I'll be in the neighborhood of MOA next Wednesday. If my schedule allows I'll gladly stop in and see if I can find it! I haven't touched my camera in a couple months though, so... any tips on getting a good shot with whatever lighting is available in the store would help a ton!

Tina, and everyone else. Just got back from Wi Rapids. I thought I would post this here so I don't have 50 posts about modeling on the photography board. We went to Wi Rapids last minute for a booking for Jasmin. It was nice cause we got to get away but the client paid for the travel. She did a job for renaissance learning which is one of those places that help kids with school work. It was funny cause here she is out of school and she had to be in a classroom shooting for 2 days like she was in school. So i'm in there with her and the director comes up to me and asks me if I would be in the shoot! I have been asked in the past to do stuff but I always say no cause I am not the mom who is living thru her daughter lol! The thing is I have been asked thru email or over the phone but never in person on the spot where they knew I had nowhere to go and run and hide!
Jazz was laughing at me cause she knew I didn't want to do it but I said sure and boy do I give her so much credit! I played her mom in a parent teacher conference and then did a few shots with just myself and the teacher. Then they brought in my fake son and I had to be his mom. It was not very long but man my cheeks hurt from smiling! The only thing I had going for me was when I had to pose I thought if I were taking this picture, how would I want the mom to pose? and then I did that lol. Even her agent was laughing when I told her. She asked me to audition for a commercial for a grocery store and I told her if I had to talk to a camera I would bust out laughing. Hey, atleast I am not one of the moms who would push their daughter out of the way to do it. This is her thing but I do have to say that it was fun doing it when Jazz was in the shot with me. I told Jazz we are NOT telling daddy about this at all! However it was the first thing that she said when we got back to the hotel!
It was very cool seeing where the photographer had all his lighting and all the different set ups they were doing. He was telling the other moms that while he was setting up it was like watching paint dry and I was thinking not for me! I was taking mental notes lol!

So back to American Girl. My boss seen the picture but has been in Miami for 2 weeks so I am going to ask him where it was in the store. My advice would be to just raise the iso and use a very wide ap and hand held at maybe 1/60 if you can. If not I don't care if the camera is on basic mode. She has done so much for American Girl and I hardly have any of it that I just want a picture of her. I asked him if it was her for sure and he said yes. He did bring me back some stuff with her picture on it so I am sure it was her and we got a large check in the mail from American Girl so it's gotta be her!?! I can mail out a prepaid visa card for your time or anyone that gets it. If not I am 2 hours from Chicago and we have a job out there coming up so maybe she will be in the Chicago store as well?
