Default a few from a family shoot today (re-edit and bw added)

Dealing with 40mph winds and excessive sunlight, which means lots of blowing hair and only small pockets of areas to shoot in. All in all, I'm happy with them. Feel free to CC if you'd like.

    1. Yes, I see the foot chop. Best smile of the bunch though.

    2. I can see I need to go back and fix my white balance on this one. Arm chop!

    3.

    4.

    5. Does this need brightening?

    6. Head swap. Can you tell?

    ETA: Here's #5 brightened a tad...more?

Also, the mom wants them all in B&W...how's my conversion? I tend to blow my whites in PP, and have a hard time telling.

what a cute family!!!! you did a great job despite the wind and sun.

    1. so sweet! her face looks red to me though

    2. oh, the hand chop! I really love this photo ... and the mom won't notice the missing hand, I bet.

    3. sweet, but I'm wishing for eye contact. I'm seeing too much red here too

    4. cute! this age is hard, you got such a great smile here

    5. love this! yes, do brighten ... and maybe vignette the corners slightly

    6. very nice!!! I can't tell which head you swapped, you'll have to tell us who got swapped.

ah... wind... not a friend when you're shooting kids... but you did a great job!!!

    1. The foot chop doesn't bother me at all. I'm sure her hair color is not helping the red in her face. It's still really cute.

    2. Cute shot!!!

    3. Love his big smile. I see some red/orange in his coloring.

    4. I love this shot... I love how she's sitting.

    5. REALLY love this shot... I would brighten it a bit... mom's going to love it!!!

    6. Cute family shot!!! I would have never known you did a head swap... if I look super close my guess would be the sister on the end by mom??? I'm dying to know which one.

Yep, you guessed it...it's the girl on the far left. I was so busy trying to get the younger two to even LOOK at me, that I wasn't even checking to see that the girl was looking sideways in just about every single one! Anything I need to change here? At first I thought her neck looked extra wide, but I went back and looked, and that's how it looks in every pic.

The only reason I could tell was because her neck looks a little "off" on her right side, right where her hair meets her neck. I would say if it looks the same way in all the other pics then I would leave it. Honestly her parents will never know... I just REALLY looked hard to find it.

What GREAT pics! If I was the mother, the chops wouldn't bother me at all. LOVE the one of the four kids all holding hands. That and the whole family. Are the two older girls twins? Reminds me of Addison and Brooke with a red head and a brown haired girl!

Nope, not twins--the brown haired one was adopted as a baby--she and the redhead are 3 months apart, so brought up as "twins" but not biologically.

These are really nice. Only time for a few comments. The bw conversion looks great to me. Only thing I don't like is that your vignette in these is really harsh and noticible.
