So, I've been lurking for AGES, and I'm finally feeling brave enough to post for the first time! I've always been interested in photography, but I purchased my first camera, a Nikon D40, in February. I upgraded to a D90 in July. I have a long ways to go, but I've learned SO much since I started!
You've all been such an inspiration for me. There is SO much talent on this board, it's rather intimidating! Here is my info from the intro thread:

HATE the red truck in the background, lol
5.
Exposure: 1/250 sec
Some other fairly recent work:
6.

The computer these are all saved on is in the shop right now (lol) and some of them didn't have EXIF data included on upload.
Snapped out the car window on the way back from a shoot:

Not sure why it's taken you so long b/c your pics are great! LOVING #3, it's amazing! Loving the style on #6. I need to have the kids lay down as well b/c that's a way to keep my ss low, but not have motion blur.
#16 is great, love her freckles! TFS! I hope you keep posting!
umm I think they are all amazing. Welcome, its hard for me to log on at work so I mostly lurk, but try to put in my 2 cents every so often. my faves so far are 1,3,6,8

Thank you all for the compliments! I do have some work that I'm very proud of, but I'm also really pretty early in the learning process. As I said, I just started DSLR photography in March, and although I've grown a lot, I have SO much more to figure out! And I don't do very much PP at ALL, which I plan to change soon. I feel like I'm just now getting somewhere on my learning curve, and now I'm deploying to Iraq for a year. SO I'm going to concentrate on learning some good pp while I'm limited on my picture-taking!
Thank you, acarbo, my daughter makes a very good model, but I don't want her to get TOO full of herself, although I fear it's too late, lol. I also have a younger daughter who I adore taking photos of, as well...I just didn't select any in that post. There's some photos of her below, but I swear she does her BEST to NOT make eye contact with my camera. Getting a good photo of her is a PAIN!
(The focus on this one SUCKS but it's so cute I just couldn't pitch it.)

Hello!
You're work is awesome. I love # 3 and 7. And the first one of your little girl is too sweet. I really look forward to seeing what else you have to show us.
