Finally some time to snap and share

Hi

I havent had much time for taking photos because I have been so so busy lately helping DH set up his business while coping with a horrific flu that lasted almost 4 weeks and working full time.
So it was my first real day off as such in a while and I just happened to get some unexpected visitors so I snapped these Biggrin

to get this close I had to open the back sliding door, and take a step every few seconds while pressing the shutter so they would get use to the noise. they came back three separate times.

First time, there were 2, second time there were 4 and the third time there were about 15

hmmm no data on this one.

Thanks for looking

Awesome. My grandmother is a bird lover. She would have freaked to have seen these in her backyard.

these are so neat!!!! I think that last one is so cool! I can't even imagine encountering these birds where I live, especially so many at once.

I think these all look great!

that sucks about the flu. that's a long time to be sick! I hope you're feeling back to normal now and that DH's business is doing well.

Sorry to hear about the flu. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Awesome parrots! Their coloring reminds me of the Painted Buntings found in southern North America. They are Rainbow Lorikeets, right?

Thanks everyone.

I am feeling much better today but everyone at work(well all 7 of them) turned up to work sick today. I hope it doesn't get to me.

I have added the settings in my OP

But I thought I would share a few more.

I should say that I am extremely proud of these photos. The only 'editing' I have done on any of these is to put the black frame around the photo and sharpened for web.

I think it is the first time I have nailed focus and exposure consistantly without having to think too much between each press of the shutter. If anyone thinks differently I'd love to hear why.... really Biggrin

CC also most welcome now I have added the settings.

AWESOME! I really love the 'sharing a meal' shot you just added!!!!!

You nailed EVERYTHING about these. I can't believe how vibrant the color looks. Focus and exposure look great too.

There's something about teh 'sharing a meal' shot that reminds me of a bride/groom shot sharking the first bite of cake. Smile

It's good to have you back! Hope you can stay well w/ everyone around you sick.

Best,
GiGi
