Hiya ladies! I did my first 'stranger' (not friend or family) photo shoot. I guess I'm a little overwhelmed with how many editted photos I should produce for them? Since I'm obviously still 'wet behind the ears' we didn't discuss an actual number of edits. What do you ladies usually give? Thanks!

Are they a paying client or did you do them for free? If you did them for free, then I suppose it's totally up to you. I'm not in business, so I'm not sure what the norm is. I'm sure the other ladies will know, though!
Paying client. I shot so many it's hard for me to drawn the line, ya know? When I've done them for my bro and SIL I think I've had about 10-15 edits. But is that too many? Too little? Eeeee! Lol. Katie, get into business! I need your advice!Your photos are great, btw!

I do 35-40 images for my paying customers. For portfolio building, they only get the images I thought I might use in my portfolio.
When we got our family pics done in November, we got around 35. Each was done in 2-3 different edits (b&w, color, ect).
I'd love to see some of them, if you don't mind!!![]()
When I set up a session, I tell them they'll get approximately 15 images. I think that it's completely up to you, TBH. You know your skill, and how many good quality images that you're going to come out with. I would say that for any future sessions that you set up, I'd get that number out in the open. I'd hate to see anyone come back to you saying that there weren't enough images. If you tell them a number from the get-go, they agree to it, and can't come back to you later demanding more.
I now have different image packages but when I was portfolio building, I only charged for the cost of the disc + postage I gave them 15-20 images and they were my own choice.
I will say be very careful, especially if you want to head down the business track as word of mouth travels very fast and it can stick you into a hole of "go to her she's real cheap" as opposed to "go to her, she is an amazing photographer"

Thank you so much ladies.I have a lot to get figured out.
