Default First newborn session coming up

So I know I have a 5 month old and I *should* have practiced with her...but I didn't. And now, I have someone (friend of a friend) who wants newborn photos done in a month or so when her baby arrives. She sent me examples of what she wants. Most are on a black background. So of course I'm freaking out a little. Million questions I need to find answers to!

First - what makes the best black background (for cheap)?

    ugh, I'm so nervous!!!

I haven't any experience with photographing on backgrounds, but I think the previous recommendations would work those are both low wrinkle fabrics.

Hope you can get some practice time in with your LO before the session and good luck.

I picked up a cheap knitted blanket at target that works well for babies. I draped it over his boppy and then held it up behind him for that 'continuous' look.

    Best of luck!
