GiGi and Sadie, great pics. GiGi, Logan is getting so grown-up and handsome! And Sadie, it seems you and your kids have such a great relationship -- it always shows in the pics. Just a lotta love. :)
The Sully cake was actually the easier of the two. I should've used fondant for the Mike cake, but I've been too intimidated to try it so far. Next year! But Mike was hard to get fairly smooth, and the eye was tricky. He didn't look as good overall. Decorating Sully took me about 2.5 hours, Mike about 3. Add in the baking and clean-up time, and all together I think I spent about 8 hours on those cakes!Quote:

The bird shots were just with my kit lens, mostly at its longest focal length of 135mm. This was at a bird sanctuary and there are birds everywhere, so it's not hard to get a few good shots, even without a longer lens. I would highly recommend taking some time to go and do something like this... it was a delight, and just what I needed to lift my spirits. I am dying to take the kids back there when the ducklings start arriving in the spring.
