I'm back on the ball this week picture-wise, LOL....most of you probably saw these at FB already, but here are some of my new faves...
The first two are from Round Hill Park, where I took photos of my friend's son, and afterwards discovered what a great tour-able farm they have there as well...here is Eva watching one of the 2 new lambs:
And a beautiful tree-lined lane between pastures...I was always so envious of those of you who had a great tree-lined road to photograph at, and now I know where one is!
from out back at my house, one rare sunny afternoon:
Columbine macro:
little jewel (a Ruby-throated Hummingbird taking a break from being at my feeder, and/or guarding my feeder LOL):
More at FB/Flickr...
Aww, what a cute little lamb! I'm glad that you found a nice tree-lined path to shoot! I'm sure you're going to get lots of great portraits there!
Jackson is a doll!! I LOVE his face in the last one! (And as a side: Your son's name is my kid's names combined. Carson Thomas, and Jackson Drew. Guess you need to name your next LO Carson Drew?)
Amanda, I can't believe how big miss Natalie is! So cute!
Amy, they're all gorgeous! Love the flower & the hummingbird!
I haven't done much lately, here's a couple of Owen.

I took some photos of my parents and brother for a photo frame my mom got my grandma for her birthday. Here's one of my brother that I liked a lot.
We took a trip out to the Prairie preserve on Tuesday. It was nice, because Jackson fell asleep in the car, so my mom watched him while Carson and I went alone. I loved not having to chase around a 14 month old! It was nice to be able to take my time!
And I have to admit...in my (almost) 30 years, I have never seen a snail in real life. That changed on Tuesday. I was so excited to see this little guy. He was probably about the size of a nickel.

Amanda - I missed you on my first round! I love her face in that first one going down the slide! I love the raw expressions like that, and I can never seem to capture them!
Could Owen have a sweeter smile, Kaci?? So freaking adorable!
Aw, some really sweet shots this week!
Amanda, the slide shot is really fun -- you captured her at the right moment!
Amy, that first one is cool. Neat comp and vantage point. Love the columbine.
Kristen, those are so adorable! I love them all, but the first one is especially sweet to me. The expression in the third is seriously awesome!
Kaci, wow, love those! The second one is fantastic! What great eye contact and expression!
Stephanie, that frame sounds really nice, and the shot of your brother will work great! Really LOVE that second one, just beautiful! Your macros are gorgeous, but seriously, in 30 years, this is your first snail?! Are you even more of a city girl than me?!
Last weekend DH let me head up to the local waterfall by myself, which was awesome except it started to rain and then everyone disappeared and I got a little nervous being 20 minutes into deep forest all by myself, so I didn't take the time I would've liked. But I got some nice shots. Here's a couple from the walk up to the falls:
and my favourite shot of a smaller waterfall:
and the big one at the top:
Saw this couple while out with the kids the other day:
This is at the wetlands:
Sorry so many, I actually worked hard to whittle it down!!

It's funny, Tracy, because I'm not from a big city at all! This prairie preserve is actually in my hometown, and I've been there many many times before. My mom even said that she thinks that was the first time she'd seen a snail in person. My DH said he's seen some before, but they were only about the size of a pea.
Anyway, I love your first waterfall shot! I wish we had something like that around here. The land is so flat, there's just no potential. I'll have to try a shot like that if we ever vacation somewhere with some falls. I also really love your dragonfly as well! So crisp!
