It's FRIDAY! My favorite day of the week!

Let's see your favorite shots from this week (or the week before if, like me, you're running a tad behind in your uploading and/or editing). Biggrin

Oh boy, it's FRIDAY! I am excited. It will be a fun-filled weekend! I hope we can post more than one!

Some of these are from last week, but I forgot my flash drive, so forgive me. Wink

Funny that Gwen and I had the same idea without sharing. (taken 10-18 )

I don't have much new, but here are a couple...

Eva at the museum...

a drooping Mum flower....

one of the few remaining butterflies visiting my garden....

and this is from Tuesday evening when we were on a tornado watch and were going to get a supposedly really bad storm....these awesome clouds swirled & rolled in but we only got a little bit of rain.

post as many as you like (within reason)! I love this thread, I truly do. I look forward to it all week long and you guys never fail to disappoint! Smile

Deanna ... those are both great, but I *adore* the fall colors in that first shot! Simply AMAZING! We don't get color like that around here. We go from green to yellow to brown in short order over the long, hot (and often dry) summer months. SO JEALOUS!

Sadie ... I love the 'boot' picture!!! I think I'd have to print that big for my office. Smile And I really love that last one of Randy. He looks so serious! Too cute!

Amy ... those last 2 are really amazing! And it's lucky for you the tornado warning gave you such an awesome cloud show to catch. You have such an incredible eye for nature photos. That last one should be on an inspirational poster. Smile

One for now. I haven't been taking way too many pictures this week. Just keeping up with my 365 or trying to anyway. Smile this was last weekend I believe. Taken with my P&S. As you can see the fall leaves are all gone. It's time for winter. I think it might snow for the first time in a couple of weeks. I can already feel it! That's Jeanette at the very end there. Smile

I only have a handful of photos. I got some great ones of my shoots last weekend. I'll share 3 here. The last is one my 2 year old took of me taking a picture of her Biggrin

LOVE everyone's photos! Amy, I agree with others. Your nature photos are just amazing. The colors and focus are spot on and just lovely. I also had to do a double take of Eva...I seriously thought she was standing with a herd of zebras!!

Deanna - both of those are GOR-GEOUS. Love.
Sadie - that pic on the wall is awesome. I would totally print that one. It's a keeper
Amy - at first glance, I thought those were real zebras and I was like, "Whoa. Eva is really close to those wild animals!" LOL And, your sky is beautiful, as usual!
Loida - you said the evil "s" word!!! Pretty pic of your street.
Jennifer - what a good photographer your DD already is! Smile

Last weekend, we went to a farm in Lancaster county that does a whole big thing every fall. They have tons of stuff for the kids to play with and, of course, a pumpkin patch and a corn maze. Here's Abby bouncing, which is one of her favorite things to do.

And, here's Caleb intently watching this puppet show with chickens. Check out those eye lashes (jealous!).

Then, the middle of this week, we carved our pumpkins. Here's a snap DH took.

And, the finished products:

I'm still really behind in my edits (that's why I haven't replied to some of the longer photo share threads, sorry!), so I barely have any photos from this past week.

Here are a couple from LAST week. Wink

Oct172010_0095

Jack playing with Andrew's new track, he really loves this!
Oct152010_0129

And now this week ... Andrew's birthday was on Monday, and this is the ONLY photo I've saved so far from the tons I took. I really need a full day just to edit and catch up ...

This is before school on his birthday, as he's enjoying his only birthday gift from us (an iPod Touch, which he got instead of a birthday party)
Oct252010_0019

And then I did a Halloween photo shoot with my kids yesterday. I have a bunch to edit, and you'll see a thread about it for sure. But I wanted to share the first two here (those on FB might have already seen them)

Jack's looking at a plane here, just LOVE this shot!
Oct282010_0073 copy

I had high hopes for my kids, costumes, and this tree ... but no everyone cooperated at the same time. ROFL I'd love this shot more if Natalie was not hiding her face, but at the same time, it totally represents how things went ...

Oct282010_0053

Deanna - oh, much better crop on that first one! Beautiful!

Sadie - LOVE the boots!!!!!

Amy - that butterfly shot has to be one of my favorites of yours! Love the sky. I also took some sky pictures that day, but I couldn't go far from my house, so I have telephone wires and rooftops in mine.

Loida - keeping up with the 365 kills me. I almost hate it some days. I'm so Type A, I hate missing a day (I've missed two this year). Not doing it next year at all. That's a neat photo, love the light in it.

Jennifer - I saw that first one on FB, just love it! Love the framing on the second (you can add some fill light to get more light on the baby)

Krista - looks like fun! Natalie always looks at your siggy and asks about your kids. (she's not here right now, but I just thought of it and wanted to tell you). She remembers that your boy is Caleb, which surprises me.

I just had a whole new reply written and my browser crashed UGH!!!

Thanks everyone!! Gwen, these were from my backyard and that's the only shot I got that DIDN'T have any roofs/antennae/etc. in it LOL. It's of the hillside above the creek that runs behind our street/property.
Here's my other favorite, with my neighbor's roof in it

I'm so glad you like my butterfly pic too! I applied a touch of Orton to it and then "cooled" it slightly. I had to brighten it a lot but I was still worried it looked too dark. That poor butterfly's wings were SO worn out and tattered!!! (Red-spotted Purple)

Jennifer, I saw that 1st one on FB days ago and I LOVE IT! Beautiful!!!

Krista, great jack-o-lanterns!! I like the bouncing shots too--I know Eva will LOVE doing that on the bed or whatever once she gets going, but she still only jumps once and then drops LOL. she still has only done a handful of "real" jumps on the ground too, so she's still learning to really jump jump jump.

Gwen I love that first one--where was that taken? The costume shots are too cute!

p.s. yeah the museum is so great and well-designed that you can barely see the plexi/glass separating us from the animal mount displays...and they even have the dry mud-looking ground extend out into the viewing area, and that driftwood/log is half in the display and half out! It goes right THROUGH the plexi/glass! They even had a baby warthog behind the log on the outside of the display.

Eva wanted to ride the zebras ROTFLMAO!

Only 2 more....this is a bad photo of the spooky moon we had over the weekend, but you get the idea...this looked super-dark on my work pc so I brightened it some more (at home it looked fine) so you could see the clouds...

and Eva looking at the brown bear display--another "too real" one!!

Gwen - that's so cute about Natalie! She and Abby are around the same age, right? And, just for you, here are two quick snaps from last night. Check out Caleb's costume!

The kids wanted nothing to do with the camera since I pulled it out minutes before we went trick-or-treating. In the first picture, they were watching kids already starting on our street. They could barely stand still long enough for me to get these! I think I'm going to make them put them back on this weekend for some proper pictures.

Oh my goodness Gwen- LOVING the one of Jack looking up at the plane! GREAT shot!

Amy- I thought she was near real zebras too. Same with the bears! What a neat museum!

Jennifer- LOVING the third one!

Krista- I want to go on the bouncy thing! Lol

Loida- great capture! I had to take a double look b/c I didn't see your DD until I read your post.

Oh my goodness these shots are all amazing!

Amy - I love your nature shots! They are always AWESOME!! I thought the zebras were real, too! Lol

Deanna - She's lovely! Great shots!

Sadie - OMG totally in love with the boots!!!!!

Jennifer - So cute your daughter taking that pic of you! Lol

Loida - Awesome shot!! Jealous of the "upcoming" snow you're predicting! I want some! Biggrin

Gwen - Love those shots! Love love love the Superman watching the plane one! And the one of him by the water!

Krista - That looks awesome! Where in Lancaster was it?

I didn't get many this week. I swear, DS is just too fast crawling anymore! He's either leaving me in his dust, or trying to grab the camera off of my face. And I don't take pics of much else at this point. Wink Yes, JMK -- again! We took him to the pumpkin patch last weekend, and he was so serious!

No, I haven't posted any others than here and FB. I was so over last weekend with my camera being dropped that I kind of (Sadly) rushed through PP. I'll put together another thread with the best shots from the THREE sessions I did last weekend. Thanks for asking!

However, this week, I did not get out much due to some pretty craptacular weather. Here is one I took at the beginning of the week.

Though I didn't get to enter the leaf challenge because I didn't get around to uploading them. I think these turned out great!

I found a tutorial on making pictures look Lomo, though I do know the photo needs a lot of improvement I think the effect turned out great.

It's so funny hearing all of you talk about how cool it's getting. Halloween night here was SO HOT and humid. We barely made an hour of trick or treating and had to keep forcing water on all the kids. Smile

Anyway ... I know I'm late getting these up, but I wanted to share anyway:
