Flash back Friday: Sep 9 - 16

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have each had a fantastic week and have dozens of photos to show for it. Wink If you do, why not pick a few of your favorites and share with us here. Even if you don't, you know we can never get enough on this thread, so dig through your archives and share a favorite anyway.

Hope you all have a great weekend and a wonderful week to follow.

Best,
GiGi

just a few snaps from me ...

Logan has been reading to me while I work at the computer in the afternoons. I really love this time!

and, of course, he still spends LOTS of time playing angry birds Wink

GiGi, how cool is that, that Logan reads to you?! I LOVE it! Great shots.

I've been feeling extremely lousy all week, some miserable side effects from medications I take for my inflammatory arthritis, so not feeling too inspired with a bunch of stuff to share. But I really just have to share this snap of my baby waking up in his big-boy bed for the first time. (Excuse the flash but my point-and-shoot was inadequate for taking a non-flash photo in this light.)

In some ways it's probably good I've been feeling so lousy, or I'd have found this an emotional transition, taking down his crib, which is virtually the last piece of baby gear in this house. But being so tired, the idea of having another baby right now just about slays me, so perhaps God knew I needed a way to get through this transition more easily!!

I love that Logan reads to you! So sweet!

Oh yeah, that transition is a hard one, Tracy! He looks so happy to have his big boy bed though. Hope you feel better soon.

Here's what I've been up to:

Jackson absolutely loves our dog (and all dogs for that matter). This one is just so special because of that.

And a couple from the shoot I did last night. The rest are up on my blog now http://shutterbugstroll.blogspot.com/

GiGi- love the judo one. Remember- sometimes snaps truly are the best.
Tracy- Sorry you aren't feeling well. I understand- allergies here have made me miserable this week.
Stephanie- great shots. Randy loves dogs too. Love the client boy shot!

Mine are from this week and last week:

Tracy ... I'm sorry you're having a rough week physically. I'm struggling too (allergies and some lingering injuries), but I'm glad you found the silver lining in the struggle. I love this shot - flash and all - seeing that proud face makes the shot!

So many great shots, Steph!!! I love the one of Jackson and his dog! I wish our dog would sit still long enough for a cuddle shot w/ Logan, but she bolts every time she sees the camera. Both of your boys are growing way too fast - you need to slow them down. Wink

Sadie ... I love Randy shots! He is just such a BOY! I can't get enough! And Ruthie looks so sweet w/ those apples. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun w/ that shoot.

I am hoping to have a FLOOD of pics next week. My bf and her family is coming for a visit this weekend and we have LOTS of photo ops in the works! Batteries charging, memory cards cleaned off. I'm a happy camper (if I could just stop sneezing now). Biggrin

Happy Friday, everyone!

GiGi.. you have such a wonderful child Biggrin

Tracey, he's so cute, I hear ya on the tired thing. Hope you don't feel that way too long.

Stephanie, love the puppy shot.

Sadie, that apple shot is just gorgeous and I love the processing.

Just a few from me. I had a family shoot in a very very dark house so had to use my flash but we were close to a big-ish window

and newborn(3 week old) twins.

Here's a few I snapped quickly of DD. We had her 5yo birthday party yesterday, and did a Fancy Nancy theme. DD is NOT a girly girl, but had such a great time anyway. Wanted a few pictures of her in her "fancy" outfit before it got ruined by markers and frosting.

Cazz ... I would never have known you had to use flash on these! WOW! I'm guessing you bouned it off of the big-ish window b/c the catch lights look FANTASTIC! And those twins are just too cute!

Oh, Lisa, she looks so sweet! They grow up too fast though, don't they?

Amy ... wow, wow, and more W-O-W!!!! I adore that first one. I hardly know where to look there is just so much detail in this shot! And the color in all of these is simply off the charts with POP! I also love the shot of Eva w/ the E. She's such a cutie! Looks like you guys are having way too much fun together. Smile

You guys MAKE MY DAY with these threads! Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much, GiGi! I was very happy with this set! I wish the E weren't cut off in the "E" photo but it was such a narrow hallway and I was zoomed out as much as I could be.
As for the color "pop" I am glad you like them, they are all totally natural color except for the slightly-boosted leaf with raindrops! Smile

I agree about Cazz's flash--I'd have never known! I am not 100% clear on the idea of bouncing a flash off a window because usually the areas that need fill-light are the areas on the opposite side of the person (from the window)? I would love to hear more about that.
