Flashback Friday

I am super-duper down today (just PMS, I think!!) and really need a pick-me-up. Please, pretty please, will people share photos today? It feels so lonely around here most of the time!

Here's a few from me. Most are snapshots in very contrasty light, no shade to be found!

We had a record-breaking hot day (4 degrees Celsius hotter on Sept. 11th than it's ever been before!) on Wednesday, so I took the kids to the lake for a while after school. DH wasn't with us but I drew a heart with our initials and told the kids there'd BE no Nora & Micah without "T+A", so they posed for me.

On Monday I took Micah to another lake, not to swim, but just to walk around. It was gorgeous:

And I just have to share this card that I made... I felt inspired with this one!

As a pick-me-up you can have a peek into my instagram, I have some cute animal pics.

Typical dog sticking his head out the window.

A rare sight, my kitties (Silver-Grey Torti, Mal(furion)-Tabby) sitting near each other, the grey torti is not very nice to the tabby most of the time.

I feel like I never pick up my camera anymore. I'm always using my iPhone, so those following me on Instagram have seen plenty Smile I did, however, take some of Ryken's first day of preschool this week.

Ryken couldn't decide what he wanted for breakfast, so he had cheerios and oatmeal Smile

Poor Sully in the background with his backpack on Sad I wanted to avoid a meltdown before I dropped Ryken off, so Sully found out later that he wasn't going. Although, I did explain to him for weeks that only Ryken was going to school this year. Poor kiddo.

Sully after leaving Ryken at school. Today went really well when we dropped Ryken off, so I'm hoping it stays this way.

The next two are from last night.

Love those beach photos!! Your kids always look like they're having the time of their lives!

Cute animals! Gotta love them!

Ok, I admit, I'm going back a couple of weeks for these, and I have a lot of phone shots. My camera doesn't get out very often anymore with the boys in school and no one at home to photograph!

Tracy- Love the beach photos! My plan for next summer is to have a beach trip!

Amanda- Love the animals. DH is allergic to cats, so I love seeing photos of other peoples cats!!

Steph- I relate to your photos so much since our boys are similar in age. My kids LOVE bugs too and are always picking them up and bringing them to me...spiders too! YUCK! Smile I love that sprinkler shot!

Awww! Poor little Sully! Jackson was the same way when we would get home from dropping Carson off at school in the mornings. He wouldn't come in from the garage, so I would have to go in while he was throwing his fit and ignore him until he came in. Just inconsolable. He's much better now that he's in school Wink

Don't you just LOVE having boys? It's a whole new world to me, being a girl. Not that I was ever a girly-girl, but I wasn't exactly into bugs and dirt and climbing like my boys are. I just love seeing the world through their eyes. It was difficult for me at first to relate to them, since it was new territory, but now I've embraced it, and have learned to let so many of my "girlish" traits go so they can be happy and have fun. It's amazing how many things just come natural for little boys as far as what they like, and how they act.

Oh, and I'm decent friends with Jackson's preschool teacher, and she was telling me that he's the "stud" of the class Wink He has 2 little girls (one of them being another friend's little girl who has never really played with him before) who hang all over him and are constantly calling his name. The one even goes home and talks about him, and keeps asking when he's coming over to play at her house. I got to witness it this morning at open gymnastics, and it's so freaking adorable! There's just something about his personality that draws people in. Apparently even other 3 year olds! It's just so cute to watch him make friends with other kids. There are a couple of other little boys in his class that we saw at the park, and I watched him engage with them on his own. It's so neat to see him making friends with people other than my own friends' kids.

Love all these, they're so fun! It's great to see photos from you guys!

Really cute animal pics, Amanda!

Katie, nice to see you! Your shadow pic is totally awesome, and Ryken is looking so big now!

Steph, great pics, love that sprinkler shot and the 'serious' one of Jackson!
