    Default Flashback Friday May 10th

Can I start the FBF thread today? Got a busy day on tap, but I have some fun stuff to share and would love to see everyone else's pics from this week too!

Last Saturday we went on a family hike up a local mountain, and although the day was hazy, we got such a lovely view of the city we live in! The lake off to the left is a very popular summer spot for camping and just day visitors for swimming, too.

That same afternoon it was so unseasonably hot, we broke out the sprinkler. In May! Crazy!

Took my camera to school one morning, just to get a shot of these leaves with the morning sun filtering through:

And Micah and I saw this the same morning:

Our local camera club did a bit of a workshop one night, just walking around the area looking for things to shoot from A - Z, and I got some nice macros, though a bit noisy as light was fading fast and I remembered my tripod, but not my tripod mount! Duh.

And last but not least, Nora got her hair cut this week. It was so uneven from her tendency to pull it out that we figured chopping it in a blunt shorter cut would be a good idea, and she looks super cute (if a bit self-conscious in the last pic)!

Oh, and DH ordered something for me from B&H for Mother's Day! Can't wait!

I just LOVE your nature shots! Wow! Funny you posted a pic of a dandelion seedhead with one seed poking out, because I JUST took a shot like that and was editing it yesterday!!!

That leaf photo with the circle bokeh is STUNNING. GORGEOUS. I LOVE it.

BC is so beautiful, I've seen pictures from friends and family who have been there, I have to make it out there my self at some point.

Natalie got a hair cut last weekend because she keeps chewing the stuff in the front (Yuck! what is with kids?), was being a goof when I tried to get a picture.

Then we got her hockey gloves (which she wanted to sleep with), just love the way the light was shining in, I know the picture is a bit dark.

    Muddee, Natalie is so cute!

Amy, I love your dandelion pics, much more than my own! And the cat pics are wonderful... such beautiful eyes!

Tracy, I wish I could take landscapes half as well as you! Nora's new hair is very sweet.

Amy, love the dandelion and oil on water shots. Great work.

Amanda, I've had to take to braiding my daughter's hair most days to stop her from putting it in her mouth. At the very least it has to be tied back or it gets gross.

Mine aren't just from this week, but I need to get back in to the habit of this as it encourages me to actually pick up my camera! I'm hoping to get out a bit now that it isn't the burning summer sun and before it becomes to grey and dull with winter.

A snap of my furbaby (with tree growing out of his head )

    And some of my daughter
