Sorry for being mia the last few weeks. We were on vacation to visit my sister in CA and then I've been working a lot the past couple weeks. I've been keeping up with my p365, so I'm proud of myself for that!

Sorry in advance for the HUGE share Smile

Here's a few from our trip. I barely took any with my big camera, but I took quite a few with my phone. It was actually refreshing to not lug around my big camera.

DH Smile

My mom, the boys, and my cousin

The water was freezing, but that didn't stop the boys from getting soaked!

My little family!

And here's a bunch from the last few weeks

Ryken is obsessed with Luigi

These last few I took this morning. We went out before the sun rose so I could get some sunrise photos. Sully cooperated pretty well, but Ryken was over it before we even started!

Looks like you had a wonderful time at the beach. I love the "The water was freezing, but that didn't stop the boys from getting soaked!" one. Really beautiful. And the silhouette of your DH with the boys.

The one with the stuffy kiss is so sweet, as is the one of play time in the hallway.

A few shares from me... another sign of spring makes my heart glad. I'm having a hard time lately, and any time the sun shines and the weather warms up, I start feeling a bit more hopeful and less down. It's lovely to think spring is almost here.
Snowdrop

A trip to the river. This was actually a 15-shot pano!!! but my stitch software refuses to do that many without dying on me. So here it is in two stitches.

And since Nora wasn't interested in road hockey, she played with another neighbour boy.
Snow Pile!

Bad snap, but one of me and my girl home alone, doing crafts together.

Katie- I am such a big fan of your work! I am curious though- those are DSLR photos right? Those are spectacular! My faves are Tracy's faves too! Such wonderful memories captured!
Tracy- I understand exactly how you feel when it comes to the sun shining and feeling better! I am the same way. Just warms my soul! I love the spring shot and your panoramas. And the one of you and Nora is great!

I have tons to share, but ZERO time to edit. I was stuck in a class all day Saturday, and Sunday was packed with church and tball meetings.

Sadie- Thank you! And yes, they're all taken with my dslr.

Tracy- Great shots! I love the panoramas. I'm curious what your weather is like? It seems so much more mild than Wisconsin, even though you're more north.

Katie ... it looks like you guys had a really awesome vacation! LOVE LOVE LOVE that puddle reflection! So cool!

Tracy ... look at that lovely sign of spring! Such a warm and inviting shot! It's good to see YOU in a shot as well. Biggrin

Here are some from me ...

first, my Friday snap:

the boys slept in, so this was my special spring break Friday breakfast for them.

and here are a few more from this week:

Mr Mess keeping an eye on me while I was making dinner:

Logan took this one of me (in FULL MANUAL!) at the park:

and here are a few more from our park shoot:

this guy was keeping an eye on the bread we were feeding the ducks - I gave in and let him have some too. Biggrin

Go, Logan! Great shot of you that he took in full manual!

And I love the one of you guys together.

And........ it does my heart good to see him feeding the ducks. We love doing that, and it sometimes makes my heart sad to think that they will not be that interested in such things someday. So it is heart-warming to see him doing it and know I have a few more years left of that kind of pleasure!

I gotta tell ya, Tracy ... that afternoon at the park was just plain MAGICAL! It was the only day last week when we had both warm temps and a touch of sunshine (it rained most of the week and was cold for a good part of it as well).

We try to get in a shoot every spring of just the 2 of us (since I do so many of Logan and Carlos over the course of the year). And we had planned to go to a different park so that I could also get some soccer snaps of the boy. But work was busier than usual and I just couldn't take as much time, so we went to this park which is near my office instead.

And I don't know if it was just that "spring was in the air" or what, but Logan was so ... I don't know ... full of life. He was joking and playing around. One minute he was a "serious photographer" trying to find cool angles from which to shoot berries on a bush and the next minute he was literally chasing birds across the field. He was so perfectly TWELVE at that moment. Not all grown up, but not a "baby" either.

It was a delightful time and I will carry it with me in my heart for some time to come.

Thanks for "listening" to me. I just had to share!

And I think the "bottom line" is that, yes, you should have many years to come of your kids being kids! Soak it up! I know *I* am. Biggrin
