I know many of you choose Photoshop Elements or CS as your editing software (or have free programs), but Lightroom is another software option for photographers that has a wealth of useful tools. I love it because it has sped up my workflow and organization 10 fold! If I need a heavier edit or cloning, I certainly go to CS5, but for the basics of white balance, exposure, noise reduction, spot adustments, etc Lightroom MORE than does the trick for 99% of my work.
Adobe is offering a free beta test download (until March 31st I think) of the newest version. I thought it might be nice for the newbies to get an idea of what a good editing software is capable of without having the commitment of a large price tag purchase (at least for a short time).
If you do decide to download it, feel free to ask questions on here and I will do my best to answer them.
