    Default Friday Fun Share

    Hey Guys ...

Been a crazy week around these parts, but I wanted to start this thread so that anyone who is up for it can share some shots to make us all smile.

    Best,
    GiGi

Oh, does that mean you don't have anything to show us, GiGi? None of those awesome soccer shots or anything?!

I already shared a bunch of stuff, but two more little sets of shots... Last Friday I was in downtown Vancouver for several hours between medical tests, and enjoyed walking around the city some, and taking some shots. Though I was saddened by the number of homeless people; we don't see them in our small city 70 miles out of Vancouver very often, and I'd forgotten how many desperate and hungry people there are on the city streets.

    Anyway, here's one homeless guy:

And then a few city shots:

So typical Vancouver, a very environmentally friendly city!

And then back home this week, just a bit of sprinkler fun and lunch al fresco with feet in a bin full of cold water!!

Can't wait to see everyone else's shots!

Tracy- such fun! Randall was in Vancouver on his way back from the Philippines, and he stayed overnight. The homeless pic makes me so sad.

All mine are IG post, so sorry for the repeats.

What was Randall doing in the Philippines? Did you know I used to live there when I was a kid? My parents were missionaries with Far East Broadcasting Company and we lived in Manila. I attended a missionary school there (Faith Academy) from ages 9-15. I LOVE the Philippines! The people are so wonderful there, and the country outside of Manila is just beautiful.

I love the picnic table shot. How fun to eat breakfast outside! My brother lives in Hong Kong but is visiting and spending time on his acreage here, and was telling us how he loves to take bacon and eggs outside every morning with his coffee and just enjoy the peace and tranquility there... Ohhhhh, I WISH! Our little back yard is so tiny, all fenced in like a bunch of prison cells in a row. Sigh. Someday.

Ooh such fun pictures! Love Friday share.

I unfortunately don't have anything to share - I have not picked up my camera for awhile - I am on a break and giving my kids a break. I have a bunch of iPhone photos.

Tracy - where in Manila did you reside. I grew up in Manila!

Tracy- he was on a mission trip in the Philippines. They flew into Manila and then onto Iliolio or however it's spelled and then to LubLub (spelling on that too?!?) Or maybe it was vice versa. They traveled up into the village crossed the river and delivered meds to the villages, while preaching the Word. He was there for 2 weeks. He absolutely loves the country there. Not so much Manila though! He loves the people. I want to go with him, but we struggle with us both going and leaving the kids not knowing what will happen. It's something we are praying about. This is his 2nd time!

Really?! Cool! Whereabouts? I can never quite remember the area we lived in, whether it was known as Karuhatan or something that starts with a "V"... I know what we called it, but I don't know if that's what locals called it. Not Makiti or anything, though... a good 40 minute drive from the 'nice' part of town!

We used to vacation in Baguio and Iba too. Soooo beautiful!

Oh and I meant to add that we love our yard. We don't have a fancy house by any means. In fact, parts of me are embarrassed to share my house! But our land, oh I love it. Randall dreams of moving, but I dream of remodeling our house and living on this property forever!

Tracy ... first off, congrats on the new lens! Vancouver looks like a really fun place! I've always wanted to visit there. Carlos lived in Alberta as a boy and traveled through Vancouver on his way back to San Francisco. One of these days I'll make it up there.

Sadie ... IG or not, these pics show what a fun summer you and your guys are having! I'm jealous.

How funny that so many on here have a connection through the Philippines. Makes it seem like a small world, indeed.

I don't have much. My day job is in high gear and I'm having trouble squeaking out any time w/ my camera. I've got a few snaps though.

This is Logan at "Camp Invention." He had such a fun week making a "duck chucker."

I know there is nothing special about this snap, but I truly love it. My mommy goggles are on squarely. Logan looks so big here. I love the cheesy, hurry-up-and-snap-this smile. I love the tousled look of his hair (that desperately needs to be cut). And I love his buddy waiting for his fist bump.

And this is Carlos on his birthday last week. Logan picks a "theme" for his birthday every year. This year the theme was "bacon" so Logan picked out this board game as one of Carlos' presents. It's like chutes and ladders and is called "Mr. Bacon's Big Adventure". We had a lot of fun playing it.

    Here's another look at it:

I hope to have more next week.

    Take care everyone.

Tracy - The shots of vancouver are great, really shows what a big city is like, both the sad and beautiful.

The kids look like they are really enjoying the weather.

Sadie - Looks like lots of summer fun.

Gigi - The picture of Logan is such a great natural shot. The bacon game sounds great, hope Carlos had a great birthday.

I was away on vacation last week, it was fantastic, hopefully I can get some shots up to share next week. I took this one of my male cat today with my phone, just thought it was fun, not at all good technically.

    I think it's a trap.
