Friday fun share (a little early)

I am going to be at a hockey tournament this weekend and not sure how much time I would get on here, so I figured I'd start this off a little early.

I took this picture back in early February didn't see it on my Flicker account so assumed I didn't share, sorry if I did, I just love this picture so much.

Oh, I love that floppy ear!! Adorable!

Here are some of my shots. I don't believe I sharpened these for web, but I'm tired now, so they'll have to do Wink I've been playing around with my new 5D Mark III, even though my kids aren't to keen on it...

This goofy face was his "Mom, I really don't want to look at the camera anymore" face.

I have been blown away with the sharpness when I actually nail focus! 100% crop:

Amanda, your dog is beautiful! Great shot!

Steph, looks like you're having a good time with the camera! I LOVE the first one, LOL!( I do wish he and Micah could meet... I think they'd get along swimmingly. Micah can pout with the best of 'em too!) And wow on the eye crop, fantastic!

I'm having a lot of trouble with my arthritis this week, so I didn't get out as much, and Micah is tired of being my muse with Nora gone all day; but thankfully, some friends brought some tulips and so I had flowers to photograph inside the house. Smile

I just love this shot:
Ruffled Beauty

And I added some texture to this one, which seemed to work:
Whispers

I'm not as crazy about these, but they're kind of cool:

Wow! You're really getting the hang of those bellows, aren't you?! Great job! That first one is my favorite. It's perfect with that white background.

And I agree. Jackson and Micah seem so similar. As does Randy. I think we need to get those three together, just so we can die laughing at the hijinks they'll come up with together Wink

Amanda- That ear just melted me! LOVE DOGS!
Tracy- WOW! You are rocking those macros! Love the textured one too!
Steph- I am totally game for the meet up! How fun! Smile And Norah, Ruthie, and Carson would have fun too! Smile My favorite is the B&W! Too cute!

Mine are all from tball and then instagram. I am loving tball and he is too! I didn't like bright processing, so I went with this and I felt like it works. I don't know how well they will show up. I downloaded from FB to my work computer, then uploaded to flickr.

Great shots everyone!
I was working on side lighting with Jazz yesterday. Poor thing she was freezing but still agreed to do it. I can't wait for warm weather!

Amanda, great job with the backround. Nice shot.

Steph, can't wait to see more with that new camera. Love the little foosball table in the backround. You should try a shot with your boys at each end and take the shot from behind Jacksons head with him out of focus and shoot Carson all serious in focus. (Like kids will just do whatever you want right lol) But if they would it would make a neat shot!

Tracy I am loving that 1st shot. Can I ask what pp you did on your backround? looks amazing!

Sadie .Third one down is my fave!!!!

Katie, I love the foot/bathtub shot! I have a frame for my bathroom just waiting for a picture to fill it. I think I am going to try that same shot with my boys in a black n white. Thanks for the idea:)

Sadie, so much fun! Love all of the fun you have with your kids!

Katie, those milk shots are awesome, love them!

Tia, beautiful photo of Jazz, great light!

Tia, the 1st shot had very minimal PP. I shot it about a foot from a window, from down below the flower, towards the sun (on an overcast day). The white background was created naturally as a result, and backlit the flower petals for me. I spot-metered off the brightest petals. So PP was just a soft light layer at about somewhere between 6-10% opacity (can't quite remember) and that was it.

Amanda ... your dog is SO ADORABLE! Love those chocolate eyes. Smile

Steph ... I think it looks like you are really starting to get the hang of your new toy! And even if the boys are tired of your camera, they still come out looking adorable!

Tracy ... I love the texture you added to that 2nd image. What a lovely, soft mood it creates!

Sadie ... the t-ball pics are PRICELESS! I know you guys are as much of a 'ball' family as we are soccer so I am looking forward to many more pics this spring!

Katie ... LOVE the milk pictures! What a character you've got there! And your St. Patty's day pics really had me smiling.

Tia ... WOW! What more can I say? What kind of light did you have to camera left? With such a strong light coming from camera right, I would expect more shadowing, but Jazz's face looks nice and even and the light in her eyes is just lovely. I'd love to know your set up.

Here's a few from me:

Logan and his pup:

I just CANNOT get a good pic of this dog. She rushes the camera. Here, Logan and I and tried to wear her out first. It helped a little but not enough. *sigh*

Carlos and I ran in an obstacle course race (Mud Run Obstacle Course | Warrior Dash) this last weekend. Poor guy got SO sunburned.

The next day, we had a soccer game. I took this one of Carlos:

And Logan took this one of me:

Have a great week everyone!

Thanks gigi, we were outside in the freezing cold at the lake. It was so cold that we went into the pavillion to get a break from the wind and I saw the wooden wall. The pavillion had a garage like door that was open to the right of the picture. There was also another garage door to her left but on the side. She was in the corner so it was dark with just a small amount of light from the other garage door to light her eyes. That is where all the light was coming in. I tried several times to get the light even on her face and the only way I could is by having her face tilted and facing away from the light. When I saw the light I really wanted to make her hair glow so I was happy with the result just wished it was a little sharper but I think that is from the haze of light that was on her so I guess it kinda adds to it?

Oh and great job for doing the warrior dash. I photographed it and just doing that made me tired! You should be very proud of yourself!
