Fun Family Session

CC always appreciated (these look a lot more washed out and bright on here than on my stuff....)

Wow I think they're great! What a nice-looking family. It looks like they had so much fun too.
The amount of blue gives me the feeling of overall coolness, but I see that their skin looks pretty good. I love the 2nd B&W, what great eyes!

I like being able to see them get closer and closer as I go thru the set, so I can see their faces up close. Nice variety of group & individual poses.

I'm sure others can give better/more CC.

Oh, this DOES look like a fun session!

Looks like you got of really great shots - both group and individual!

I'll bet the really love the top collage - it's really cool to see so many different looks all together like that. It really shows off their family personality as well. LOVE IT!

You conversions look really nice. I love the different feel you get in the first 2 b&w shots - both hae plenty of contrast and you don't seem to lose any of the details, but they have such a different feel to them both! I think it highlights their different personalities and I love it!

The bottom collage is also great. I love how you broke out parents and kids at the bottom. Mom and dad look so happy.

Great job Beth!

That family looks like a lot of fun! I love how you got their personalities to shine in the group jumping photo.

I think you did a great job of making the eyes of the dad and children stand out despite them not being almond shaped. My first DS doesn't have open-looking eyes, and I have found it very hard to do him justice in photographs.

I will CC when I get to a calibrated computer. The only thing I see so far, is the portraiture of the girl, don't like that the stairs is going thru her head. Otherwise, it looks good. I agree that the brick looks washed out (but I am uncalibrated so not sure).

Thanks El. I know the stair shot is awkwark... any ideas on how to do stair shots without a stair runnig through the head? The bricks are very washed out. This is a very old building in the middle of the desert, so I actually burned the bricks down quite a bit in all of these just to show SOME color Smile

Hmmm good question. Maybe have them sit on the top rung? Or you shooting from the top and they looking up? Not sure what the rules are. I know its not good to have lines going thru the head.

I would love to see the background be darker so that they pop out more.
Hope ypu don't mind my play. I did multiply layer and then brushed them ack at a low opacity. I got this...

Thanks for the play! I always forget about the multiply option!

These are really nice! You did a good job with posing. That is so hard for me! Is there any way of recovering any of the background in the one next to the water? That seems pretty distracting to me.
