Fun maternity session!

This was such a fun session and she let me try a couple new things since she knew i was PB'ing. I think my skin tones are different (still working on mastering that) but would love some CC specifically #2 and #3 as she is the first one to go so risque for me TIA
lens: 28-75mm

1. ISO 500 f/4.0, 1/125

2. ISO 800 f/3.5, 1/100

3. same as #2

Those are nice Smile

For cc - I would try to pay attention to the rule of 3rds especially with 1 and 3.

2 the red channel is blown.

You did a nice job though, you should feel proud and I am sure she will love it!

I agree with this. These are lovely, but the composition doesn't interest me, personally.

Also, i would like to add that I think you did the risque photos very tastefully.
As for skin tones, well if you have seen mine, you wouldn't want advice from me on that subject, so sorry nothing to offer on that LOL!

really nice! i think my favorite is #3. I love how you captured such a great smile and look. She looks lovely! Smile Anyway, I knew in #2 just by looking at it that something was blown. I like that one though. The composition is nice in that one. #1 I wish there was less space behind her and more space in front of her, on the right side of the picture. and like I said I love #3 ...maybe you could crop differently? I agree with Cindy about the rule of thirds. Smile you did great!

What a lovely mom-to-be! I'm sure she is going to totally dig these!

#1 is my favorite, despite the centered crop (which could be fixed with a portrait crop, I'd bet).

In #2, you already know about the red channel, but I love this composition! What a sweet moment. The color in that wrap is the perfect compliment to that grey background. Really makes things pop. Smile

#3 looks off to me ... a little on the green side, I think. But that could me my monitor here at work. Belly also looks just a little blown. I'm sure mom is going to LOVE this though.

TFS!

I think you did a nice job! who's holding the fabric in the second one? how tall is your backdrop stand? I have an upcoming indoor maternity session and I'm worried my stand won't be tall enough. I might have to buy more pvc.

I do agree with the feedback you've gotten on the comp - did you crop to the posted size? is there more you can do with these? you have a great background to try textures on, especially if you recrop and have more background. I really like the pose on the second one.

I think my stand goes as tall as 7-8feet or something. The first maternity session i had i did at the person's home and just used some of her furniture for shots, posed her by the window kind of thing. Her boyfriend is holding the fabric. I had another maternity session this same day and had the hubby hold the fabric as well, but i had also tried tying it. Have to start editing those soon Smile thanks for the cc Gwen Smile

I have nothing else to say CC wise, it's already been said.

I just wanted to say that despite the few issues, these are lovely. I especially like #3. Her smile is just so genuine and I think it's a beautiful shot.
