Fun Share!

It's been a little slow around here lately, so I thought it would be nice to have a sharing thread. Anything and everything you want to share with us. Let's get this board rolling again!

Here's one that I took last night. I loved how I caught the plane flying by.

Very cool shot, Steph.

Sorry I haven't been participating lately. Health issues and other things have been going on here.

I've been so out of it with this pregnancy that I hardly pick up my camera any more...I do take it with me everywhere, just don't take the time to shoot. Once this LO gets here, I'll have plenty of newborns to share...though not from me. Our local Clickin Moms meet-up in April will be his newborn photos!! I'm EXTATIC for that meet-up!! Maybe you'll get to see some of me too Smile

Here's one I never did share. Just a cute snap of DD from a couple of weeks ago

We've been resorting to co-sleeping with James most nights. Here's what I saw when I woke up this morning. Luckily he stayed asleep long enough for me to grab my camera.

No apologies necessary! Life gets in the way sometimes. I hope that you're finding yourself well at the moment. Winter can be so stressful with illness.

Could she be any cuter?? Is Rylee ready to be a big sister? I can't believe how close you are now. I swear you JUST posted that you were pregnant!

Oh, Amber, he is just gorgeous. There's nothing like a sleeping baby, is there? How are things going with him so far, and how does Nathan like being a big brother? I see a lot of Nathan in him. Do you?

A lil pic heavy but I figured I would add them since it's been slow. This was very challenging for me. The lighting was almost completely dark with bright white blinding lights on stage. I had to use a SS of 1/500 for the action and bump up the iso so a little noisy but like GiGi's post I am happy to have them Smile

Great shares everyone.

Steph - love that you caught the plane
Amber - that is just too precious for words.

I've been so busy I've barely touched my camera. And when I have I haven't liked the results.

I wish it was just ordinary winter illness. Nora, my 5yo DD, is having some increasingly troublesome health issues and is being screened for celiac disease this week; and I have some potentially serious health stuff happening too. It's stressful. Sad Prayers are welcome, if anyone here thinks of us.

On a positive note, I got word that this photo of Nora may be published in an upcoming issue of Thriving Family magazine, on the topic of "Messy Kids".

The photos on this thread are wonderful; I have enjoyed looking at them today!

That is so awesome about the photo, Tracy!! You'll have to be sure to share with us if it gets published. I'm sorry about Nora (and yourself). From what I understand, Celiac's is fairly "common" now, so I'm sure you'll be able to make a relatively easy transition. Prayers for you and Nora. (((HUGS)))

Here's a couple I took today.

My youngest doesn't really care for clothes Smile

What is it with toddlers and wanting to be naked?? My little one will go to the potty, pee right away, but keep sitting there forever. I think it's because he likes to be half-naked Wink

Thanks so much for starting this, Stephanie! This is just the kind of thread I have needed to get me through this week (my day job is picking up ... again ... *sigh*).

Stephanie ... love that long exposure of the night sky! I really need to try that some time. It's too cool that you caught the plane!

Jennifer ... Rylee is just so dang cute! And I can't wait to see those nb photos! How in the world has all of this time passed already?!

Katie ... it's so great to have you come out of lurkdom again! Your boys are so adorable! Love your b&w conversion in the first photo and the catch lights you caught in the second photo really draw you to his beautiful eyes. TFS!

Oh Amber ... James is just so adorable! he looks so much like Nathan. Is his personality anything like Nathan's was at that age? I love this super sweet shot! Feel free to post more (even if it does make my uterus ache). Smile

Tia ... I think you got some GREAT shots considering the environment! I have never even ATTEMPTED something like that and you did AWESOME!

Nichole ... your boys are SO CUTE! And what a truly beautiful setting. This should be printed BIG for all to see. Smile

Stephanie ... your boys are so cute and you always seem to capture Jackson's curious, mischievous side! I love it!

Tracy ... you can count on our prayers for Nora, yourself, and your whole family! I hope you get some good news and relief asap. (((hugs))) I love this one of Nora and am not at all surprised that it is being considered for publication! What a great childhood shot!

Katie ... my TEN year old doesn't care much for clothes either! Your boys have such beautiful eyes. You have done such a great job of capturing that in your shots. So bright and clear. LOVE IT!

Oh El ... Love your conversion on this nb shot! I think all infants should have at least SOME b&w photos ... it just seems to capture that time in their life so well. love that crinkly face and I'll bet your friend loves this photo!

As for me ... well ... my camera is largely gathering dust, but I did manage a few:

Logan after school last week. I just thought he looked particularly grown up. I managed to convince him to let me take this ONE photo. I'm glad it came out.

And this weekend Logan started spring soccer, so I got a few there too (no more games for 3 weeks though - odd scheduling):

Take care everyone!

Best,
GiGi
