Thread: Guess what I got?!

DH and I celebrated 10 years of marriage in May, and my anniversary present from him arrived on Saturday - a 50mm 1.8 AF-S!! No longer will I need to suffer through shoots with my kit lens! I didn't have a chance to try it out too much this weekend because we had a bunch of house guests and I had to play hostess. But, it will get a workout this week, as I will be doing my second newborn shoot. A friend had a baby boy on 7/7 and she comes home from the hospital today. So excited!

Sorry I've been so MIA lately. My place of business enacted a new web filter which blocks anything from any photo sharing website. So, I see your posts, but not your photos, which sucks on a photography board! Plus, I had to go log in again, which, let's face it, is a pain in the butt.

I actually owe you all a one-year anniversary post! I've had my camera for one year and a few weeks now. It's actually quite amazing when I look back at the pics from last summer.

I'll update soon with pics taken with my new lens. Hope you all are doing well!

I totally understand the frustration of not being able to see pics. My work did that a lot last year. UGH! WTG to your DH though! WOOHOO on a new toy! You will LOVE it! CONGRATS on ten years!
