Default Guess what lens I just ordered??? =D

DH is going out of town (to the states) this week and prices in the usa for lenses is cheaper than here. Like by half the price! So a $300 lense there costs $600 here. Ridiculous! So...he gave me the go ahead to buy a new lense. I have been reading up on the Tamron 28-75mm/2.8 lens for awhile now and comparing it to others and thinking lots on what I want/need next. And I feel this is definitely something I need for portrait photography. I am so excited! I have to wait one week to get it since he won't be back until next Friday/Saturday. But yay! Makes me want to do the dance of joy

Just wanted to share! I have lots of photos to edit too so I will be sharing those within the next few days. We went downtown today. I got to take pictures of quite a few things! can't wait to share!

Yay! Give DH a big hug. You will love the Tamron. Once I got it, I never took it off my camera. The weight difference felt huge at first (especially since I switched from the 50mm to that), but you get used to it.

yeah! I can't wait to play! on bhphotovideo i have a wishlist and my other two choices were the 100mm 2.8 macro lens and then 70-200mm 2.8 lens but like i said on my facebook status...i feel like i need the Tamron a lot more than the others. Whenever i have my 50mm or 30mm on my camera I am always wanting to zoom in our out without having to worry about the aperture changing and me having to compensate by changing the SS or ISO (i have a 17-85mm/4-5.6 lens and don't use it much because first of all it only goes down to 4 and it just changes when i zoom). I don't mind using it outdoors for certain things but I have not used it in a long time. Only a few times inside with my speedlight.

wait sorry dumb question here. so lens that only have one ap # (like the 2. means you can get 2.8 if you're at 70mm AND 200mm? (sorry I only have my kit which changes when I zoom and a fixed lens)

man now I'm even more jealous haha

sweet! I couldn't click on the video, as I'm sure that would lead to yet another distraction. but I got a HUGE GRIN on my face when I saw what it was, because I loved that show when it was on!!! okay, I might have to click on it now.
