I had every intention of sticking with updating here, participating, and posting. Well, I got the flu on new years day and was sick for 4 days. Then on the following Saturday my dad's heart stopped and he went to the hospital. I had a hellish 5 days of long days with doctors, my mom, and family. We ended up stopping support on my dad last Thursday. He passed away quickly and peacefully with all his family by his side. It was the hardest day of my life. I miss my dad like crazy.
My dad is the reason I picked up his DSLR on October 16th 2009. That was the day I knew I loved taking pictures and my thirst to learn grew exponentially. He loved capturing his children and had a very early love of macro. I have received so many flowers from friends and family. I thought I'd spend some time taking beautiful images of beautiful flowers.
Thanks for looking.
I am so sorry for your loss.
How great that you can think of our dad everytime you pick up your camera. Glad to see you posting (((HUGS)))
Almost forgot to add... beautiful shots! You should make that 2nd one a canvas and maybe put a cursive font on it saying (You inspire me) or just the word (inspire) cause then just you will know what it means.

Jennifer, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how hard it is for you. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I think you should. Even if it is just a print that hangs in your hallway I think you will find a little comfort everytime you pass it knowing that it was your dad who inspired you to do what you love
