Woo Hoo, my first paid shoot in quite some time. It was a last minute deal. I have a friend who is a casting agent, and he always recommends me to the actors he meets for headshots. Well, FINALLY someone actually listened to him. LOL!
This girl was only going to be in town for a few days, but I wasn't busy so I was able to fit them in right away. Here are some of my favorites. I'd love CC if anyone wants to give it.
Great job as always Amber! I like them. I think number 6 is the most flattering picture of her. In number 5 she looks bigger than she is in the others. I don't know why though. The color on 7 seems cooler than the rest and 8 seems warmer.
I pop in and out a lot but would love to try my hand at some CC here.
1,3, & 4 The line in the background on these going through her head is distracting, it leads my eye out of the frame.
5-Seems like a bad angle for the girl, I am seeing a double chin, and in the rest I don't.
8-This one is amazing, I love the bokeh, she just pops out of the frame.
Your catchlights in all of these are awesome. I also love your backlighting. I won't comment on color because I am uncalibrated, but it does look like her skin tone is different in a few of these (6,7).
Mommy to Will 6/06 and Nora 5/08
ETA: Thanks so much for the feedback so far...you guys give the best CC!
I really like #7 too....so do they!

I like 4 & 7 the best. #4 looks like a natural smile and #7 really shows her features. Although I LOVE the bokeh on #8 I think its a tad distracting from showing off her features and not a huge fan of her pose. Great job Amber! Let us know which she likes best!!
beautiful shots! I agree that the skintones look a bit different in some of these. #4 is incredibly flattering to her face (if not her body so much). I love #8 and what it does for her skin. And #9 is great too if only because it shows a bit of a different side of her.
I'd be thrilled if I were her!
2, 3 and 4 are my least favorites. The line going through her head is distracting me. I love 8, I'm a bokeh lover, so it immediately grabs me. 7 def looks like a good head shot and I can see why they really like it. I would whiten her teeth a little if you can, they look a little yellow.
#2 and 4 are my favourites! The way that I fight the chin issue is by shooting down, not up on people - it's really flattering for women. I always throw a little step ladder in my car because I'm pretty short! (or I get them to sit on the grass and shoot the headshots down like that).
