I have been thinking a lot about this photography journey of mine and where it might take me. I have also been thinking alot about my love gifts (service and giving) and core way of being. I have been incredibly blessed and want to make use of my life to help bless others. Yeah, heavy introspection from a blonde lol.
In any case, I feel like I would like to turn my photography hobby/obsession into something bigger. Although I enjoy portrait photography and may pursue it as a side business when I am good enough, I feel like I need to be doing gift photography for the terminally ill and their families.
Here are some brainstorm thoughts and questions, please jump in with your thoughts.
*I would "advertise" through hospice, childrens hospitals, etc.
*All sessions would be free, however I may set up a paypal donation button on a website to help cover costs of childcare, travel, prints, etc.
*Depending on the situation, clients may receive prints or a disk of images
*Shoots would take place in the location most comfortable and accessable to the client (hospital, home, etc)
*I would need to work closely with hospital or hospice staff to ensure no patients' health or care is compromised in any way by the shoot.
*I wil be volunteering, but need liability disclaimers.
*I made need to set up a 501(c) if donations are significant
I am a certified counselor with varied experience and a strong ability to care without letting others' situations interfere with my ability to live my life (that may sound harsh, and I certainly dont mean it too)
