Okay, so that college senior with the scarf? I never would have imagined that her black hair would have caused more issues with the pp'ing than the stupid scarf, but this is an uter mess!!! I mean, I don't ever remember seeing a color cast THIS bad...like, ever. It's even casting on her shirt. And I honestly don't think it's fixable either.
If anyone knows a trick or someway to lessen the cast of black hair, please have at it or step me thur it. I have an entire session of these to try and fix.

I can't really comment on color here since I am at my work's uncalibrated monitor. But I do see that cast or is it more of a shadow? Plus her black hair is showing a bit blue on my screen.

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
It does...she kind of jacked up her hair color. ***sigh***
Kelly, can you send me the RAW file (or JPG) sooc?

Looks dark here, but in PS it doesn't. Dang flickr....
I think it was a white balance issue. I corrected the white balance in ACR using the white balance dropper tool, brought the recovery to 0 (that recovery slider brings grayness/fog to images) and upped black +1.
Opened in PS then did a selective color layer.
Whites, -10 for cyan, -2 black (took some of the blueness out of her shirt... just done by eye)
Neutrals, +2 black (because I like it)
Black, +4 black (brought some richness back to her hair)
Did a linear curvers layer, changed blending mode to luminosity
Did a lighten curvers layer, changed blending mode to luminosity, inverted and masked back eyes at 80% opacity (to brighten)
Flatten, resize, sharpen.

Oh, black causes terrible color casts...and it is really hard to work with.
No advice just yet....maybe when Nathan goes for a nap I can have a play.
ETA:
Nevermind...Didn't see that Stacey already got to it.
Nice work Stacey
