    Default How to make cards?

I see you ladies making cards all the time. How are you making them? Out of Photoshop? I have CS4, but I don't know how to make the cute cards with all the designs and stuff on them. Is there a program for it?

Although I use PSP instead of Photoshop, I know that you can create a digital scrapbook-style "photo" using digital scrapbooking graphics and then upload it to, say, Shutterfly, and print it as if it were a photo card. Is that along the lines of what you mean?

Or you could print the creation on cardstock when you're all done.

I'm interested in this as well.

I don't have any programs currently but would be willing to buy the right one! Just don't know which is the best progam to use for both photo editing as well as creating cards/layouts!

I just use photoshop, illustrator, and istock vector illustrations (for graphics that are beyond my ability and time) to make cards. That is how I made this valentine for dd.

Here is the front. The back was just the heart flowers.

As far as printing goes, I print all my photos with WHCC so I print cards with them too. I like the linen finish.

I looked into this site, but don't you have to have a business to be a member and print there?

Not really. I have been using them for awhile. You can use your name as a business name and put that you have been in business 0 years. You don't need a tax id or anything. Then you send in 5 8x10s that they will print to check your calibration and your account is all set up.

you should visit the scrapbooking board here. there's a sticky there that has all sorts of links for digital scrapbooking. there are a LOT of sites that have free downloads for "papers" and embellishments. that's what I use to create my cards. I use both PSE7 and CS4 for mine.
