I have $150 to spend....HELP!

Ok, so I have one day to decide on this. Randall wants to spend his work safety points on me for my b-day. Biggrin He has $150. What do I choose??? I don't know. I am looking at the Kindle on sell on Amazon for $139, is it worth it? I would love to spend the money on camera stuff, but I don't think I can find anything cheap enough. I couldn't mind a new camera bag or strap. Anything else you can think of?!?! Help me out! :D:D

DH got me this last Christmas, and I LOVE it! It holds all my gear (and then some), is easy to carry as it feels weightless when I wear it on my back, and is extremely durable:

And you'd have money left over for a new strap. Wink If you wanted to spend it on photography stuff that is. Smile I don't know much about the Kindle lol.

I'm dreaming of a kindle myself (I want to use all the book shelves in my house for photos and knick knacks - :p), but that bag does look pretty awesome. I have a Tamrac bag and it's really well made. Mine is pretty small - will hold my camera and 2 lenses plus a pocket for memory cards and all. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Tamrac bag.

good luck w/ your decisions!

Best,
GiGi

I don't know much about a kindle but I love my iPad Blum 3 but those are a bit expensive. If you're looking for something to carry all your gear in I would get something you could see yourself carrying around every day. Personally, I have a lowe pro backpack camera bag and I hardly ever use it because I feel like it's too heavy and I'd rather have something I could carry around every day, like a purse. Smile but just with camera stuff in it and maybe some extra space for my wallet, keys, etc. Wink that's just me though. I don't know what kind though or by who. Sorry I'm not much help Biggrin

I would wait for an iPad... You should have told me, I sold my kindle for $100 bucks just recently and I barely used it too. I like the back pack that Meagan posted.

I got a really neat camera bag for my birthday from Etsy ... let me look for the link

It's bigger than I thought it will be, which is actually good because I don't think I will outgrow it. And I love that no one will have one just like it.

Ooooh, I love that bag Gwen!
I'd say you can't go wrong with either a Kindle or a camera bag! Both sound like great gifts to me Smile

If you want some extra camera gear, there are lots of fun things you could get for less than $150. You could get a grip and extra battery. You could get a backdrop stand and some seamless paper. Or, how about a polarizing filter and a camera bag? A nice tripod? Some nice props?

Of course, a Kindle would be really nice too. Smile

I still don't know what to do. I want to get something photography related, but the MAIN thing I want is a speedlight, and I can't get it with $150. I do want a new bag, but it's not that big of a deal. I only have 2 lens and my bag fits it perfectly. Of course one day I would like more, but that's one day. My co-worker has a pandigital- like a Kindle and she's letting me look at it today, so I will see. Thanks for all your info!

Gwen- LOVE that bag. She lives 2 hours from me! I need to look into those bags! They are ADORABLE!

Of course and Ipad would be great, but money doesn't come to us like that! Randall gets safety points from his work, and these are his 2010 points left over and he only has a short amount of time to pick it. That's why I am rushed. His points don't roll-over.

my bag was $115. I don't think she's closed, I think she has an actual website for orders now. but I'm not positive. I'm a facebook fan of hers, I should track down the info to see if she's taking orders or not.
