Default I just order a press printed book from WHCC

I found out yesterday that I got my Grampa's name in our family gift exchage, and was totally stumped on what to get him. He almost died of cancer this year, and is currently recovering. Things are looking fairly good, considering they gave him a matter of months to live with his diagnosis. Anyways, he has money, and probably everything he wants. They live in Saskatchewan, and we rarely see him, so I thought a photo book might be the best option. I put a 10 x 10 book together or all the great grand kids, and ordered it this afternoon. Now I am just crossing my fingers that it will arrive before christmas. The last order I made took 9 days, and I have 10 days before the 24th. Has anyone ordered one of these before? Cross your fingers for me that it will make it!

When I ordered mine from Shutterfly last year I ordered really late and got it just in time, I think yours should arrive by Christmas if they get it processed quickly and you aren't in a rural area.

Awesome idea! I order photobooks every year (not from WHCC) as gifts for both sets of grandparents. They absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I've been itching to try WHCC's books for a while now. You'll have to let me know how it turns out.

I think it's a GREAT gift idea. *fingers crossed* that the delivery elves will smile on you (they're frowning at me right now w/ a lost package).

I just checked them out at WHCC and they look gorgeous....according to their site the books usually ship "next day" so I hope that's true for yours! I love the option of hinged/lay-flat pages.

It is a little risky. Gigi, sorry to hear about your lost package, that is so frustrating! I'll be sure to take some pics, and share how it turns out. It came to $69 after tax and shipping without the lay flat feature, and with the cheapest cover (fabric) so it better be nice! I thought the shutterfly books looked really great, but I had no experience ordering from them, so I was worried about shipping to Canada (price, and shipping time) So I thought better to be safe than sorry... or at least have a chance to be safe... lol. I've been checking the order status every few hours, and it hasn't gone out yet. EEK!

I just got prints from WHCC in less than a week. While prints and books come from different areas, my order was printed, texture and uv coating added, boutique packaged, and shipped in 26 hours! I was really happy. They really seem to be on the ball with peak holiday time production and shipping. Hopefully you'll have your book by the begining of next week.

I've heard the WHCC books are awesome, so I hope you get yours in time!

I order a shutterfly book every year for both sets of grandparents. I will probably move to a more professional book next year, but for snaps and the like, their good. Plus you can get some amazing prices. I got 3 books from them for $60 this year.

I LOVE Shutterfly books. I get them several times a year now, for my best Eva pics and birthdays etc. instead of making prints of everything; for those I usually make softcovers. Then I do my yearly nature book, a 12x12 hardcover, and a Christmas hardcover book.
