Sadly, my Nana passed away early christmas eve at age 80.
I have been asked for photos from her 80th birthday but this one in particular is driving me nuts.
I hate the yellow colour is seems to be holding and everything I have tried to fix it is not working.
Any help or advise would be appreciated.
My condolences, sweetie. I think this is a lovely photo.
I had a play at it, if you don't mind. I just opened up in Photoshop and added a cooler layer to take out some of the yellow. Now I don't know if it's too cool. I also brightened it up a bit.
I just recently got calibrated, so I guess I need some adjustment time to get used to things.
Thanks so much. I am going to try that!
No problem. I used a Pioneer Woman's cooling action (had to go back and look).
Very nice picture and I'm so sorry for your loss especially on the holidays She was a lovely lady!
If you don't mind I also played. It does look a bit too yellow but instead of taking away the yellow I added some color. I felt like in Jennifers play they are a bit too pale and need color. I opened a color balance layer and left it on midtones. I added cyan/red +8, Magenta/Green +10, yellow/blue +20. You can probably play around with that until it looks right to you. And play with the shadows and highlights as well if you'd like. I read somewhere awhile back that if you have too much of one color you should add color not take away. Something like what this says. http://www.geofflawrence.com/photosh...rial_color.php
Now I might be totally off but oh well it's a start I guess
