... and it should be for real this time I used Spyder 3 pro and followed it to the letter. At first, like right after it finishes, is it normal to feel like things take on a greenish/yellow hue? It's hard to explain, but basically everything seems much warmer then it did before... i see yellow on skin tones on pictures from those of you HERE that are calibrated, when they looked fine to me before... The window box even looks like a different color- up top where it used to be a cool gray (under the browser bar) nonw it looks greenish/gray.
Yeah, big difference though- esp. from the last time I tried to calibrate using the do it yourself software
My laptop screen up next to this one looks so much cooler, whereas this one looks more soft and natural- hard to explain.
I hope it worked... I'm also pretty embarrased after looking as some of my recent stuff... you poor calibrated people having to look at such color rubbish from me
but I'm really curious, is the greenish thing normal or are my eyes just needing to adjust?? It could also be that I'm looking back and forth between this monitor and my laptop screen (which is a lot cooler)

I think youjust need to adjust. I feel the same way after I re-calibrate!
Each time my computer boots, I see the uncalibrated color before the calibration settings are activated...it ALWAYS looks weird for a second when the calibration sets in. Then I quickly get used to it. Your eyes adjust so quickly, which is why I think checking our numbers is pretty important.

Yes. My monitor was so cool (temperature-wise, LOL) then I calibrated and everything seemed on the warm side, but I quickly got used to it.
And like Amber said, when mine boots up I see the uncalibrated, then it switches to calibrated and it's like whoa.
Good for you for getting calibrated.
Mine is like that too, but as I said in another post, I think mines messed up. Even on my new laptop. (Still need to call about it!)
Yay for getting calibrated!
Thanks everyone! I think I'm already used to it since I posted this - yay!

I have Spyder3Pro too and when I first boot up everything is WAY too warm (orangey) I have to close my laptop then re-open for my calibrated profile to come up. Also, I had to disable the Adobe Gamma profile for my calibrated profile to become the default. I have NO clue how to do that as my DH is the one that did it
