I'm so excited! I freecycle on a regular basis, and there's a woman who I've met a few times (because I give her a lot of stuff ) She's due in 6 weeks, so I asked her if I could shoot her baby when he's 5-10 days old. DH thought I was *NUTS* for asking her, that she'd think I was crazy. She's totally all over it!!! I might actually see if I can do a maternity shoot too, as I don't think she's had one with this baby (it's her second). I'll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, I was looking at this nifty knitter to maybe attempt my own knit hats. I think someone here mentioned using this - wonder how easy it is. The baby is due in October, I'd love to do a pumpkin hat for the shoot.
for her sayin' yes Gwen!!! I want to see pics when you get a chance...and yes, push for Mat ones too!
woo hoo!! The nifty knitter is SOOO easy - I used that to make almost all of those cacoons I was using and hats too. Let me know if you have any questions good luck!
Im soo excited for you! You are brave for asking her! Has she seen any of your pictures, if she has, i bet she cant wait for you to do your stuff!
molly, I have the nifty knitter too, and I cant get lots of space between my loops whats my deal?
Yay! good for you girl...they are soo much fun to shoot!
LOTS of blankets, bag for dirty laundry, and bring and extra shirt for yourself
You'll have a blast...newborns are lots of work, but the most fun!
Those hats are truly simple to crochet...I have a nifty knitter but haven't really tried to use it for hats yet...they are simple enough to use though.

I'm waiting for the 50% off coupon, then I'm buying it. because a cocoon would be cool too.
I just asked her if I can do maternity shots too. the more practice, the better, right? not a business thing for me, still a hobby, but I want to get better at shooting a variety. shooting at my cousin's wedding next Saturday too. the photographer was hesitant at first, but she told him I'm a hobbyist AND I'm coming from way out of town (wedding is in St. Louis).
How exciting! Newborns are definitely a blast. And I am a guilty knifty knitter, too. That thing is addicting! I have more hats than I can handle now, and several cocoons.
So you're going to get a maternity shoot and a newborn shoot? Fun! I have yet to try a maternity shoot. I bet you're super excited!
