I'm a mess (OT - sorry, I don't really post anywhere else)

OK ... this is mostly OT but I don't post anywhere else, so you guys get to hear me out ...

ANYWAY .... I got excited when a friend asked me to photograph her infant when he turns 3 months old next month. And because I can't just wait, I started looking for inspiration ideas on-line. I stumbled on a really helpful site (http://www.squidoo.com/babyportraits). It's really for parents bringing in their little ones for photos - what to wear, that kind of thin - but I found it very helpful.

At the bottom of the page is a slide show they did. Set to music, of course. And the more I watched, the more I cried. But it wasn't until it hit the chorus that I realized why ... I played that song over and over and over again when Loli was that small. I've got the CD tucked away in some box at home.

Where did my baby go???

Thanks for letting me prattle on. Mommy moment over.

Back to work now.

(((HUGE HUGS))) I totally understand how you are feeling. I mean, yes, Ruthie isn't as old as he is, but it's still so hard.

It does go SO quick, doesn't it? Mine is only 2, but I completely get what you're saying. I have a storyboard from E's newborn shoot in the hallway upstairs and everytime I pass by it I stop and look and get a touch emotional!

I really know where you are coming from DD1 will be 12 this year and is already starting puberty. Time really has flown.

Have fun capturing those early moments for your friend I am sure years down the line she will appreciate it.

It goes so fast, but every once in a while a sweet moment freezes time and takes you back... like the other night when my "way too cool for mom" thirteen year old asked me to tuck her in and let me sing her a favorite lullaby Wink Thank goodness for photographs and memories!

Last week, I brought the mail in and opened a large envelope. I immediately started crying. It was Abby's kindergarten registration packet.

So, yeah. I feel you.

time flies for sure ... I was just talking to Charys about when Andrew was 8 months old (I was telling her about our first Treat gathering - remember when a bunch of us met in Chicago?). anyhow, it feels like it was just yesterday, but it was almost 9 years ago.

and in 9 more years, you'll pull out that picture of Loli at age 9 and wonder about this 18 year old young man in front of you. it's mind-blowing, isn't it? continue to enjoy every day, he's a remarkable kid and I love seeing the pride you have in him.

HUGE hugs from me. My eldest is going to be double digits in May. I keep wondering how it is possible for him to be almost 10 when I surely only had him 5 minutes ago??! And don't even get me started on the fact that my "baby" is 2 already....waaaahhhhhhh!

HUGS!!! I feel ya, and my babies are only 21 months old. I can't imagine how I will be as they get old. Right now I'm freaking over saying there age in years and not months. We really need a "slow" button Sad

WOW, Loli was an adorble baby! No wonder he is so handsome now!

Life really does go by too fast. It's a good thing we can document it on film/memory cards.

Hugs Gigi. I get moments like this when I look at my oldest son. Especially when he tells me he is a big boy now.

HUGS GiGi! I watched a video of Luke a month or so ago when he was 8 months old. I cried like a baby--even DH teared up. It is so bittersweet watching them grow in what seems to be a blink of an eye!
