For my Tamron 28-75 2.8I shot with the Tamron on Wednesday night (for the giraffe picture) then last night with my 50mm 1.8. My pictures with the 50 were SOOOOO much more sharp and in focus, even around the same ap. I just don't know what to do. I just don't even feel like shooting with it any more after seeing the difference. It was pretty much same light, same location, same everything. I suppose the Tamron's sweet spot is just at a higher ap than my 50? Can I send it somewhere to get looked at?
Ugh, if only I could magicly get 800 bucks to upgrade to the 24-70![]()
Sad. I felt the exact way about my Tamron. Definitely need to shoot at a higher ap to get sharper photos with the Tamron...but the same is true for the 24-70. 3.2 should produce much better images.
Thanks Amber, glad to know it's not just me. Bummer too. I guess I might just have to get a wider prime.
Reason why I sold my Tamron. Don't get me wrong, its a good everyday lens, just didn't like it. If you looking for a prime lens, I heard wonderful things about 85L 1.2mm

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
oh greatI have that lens. Now I might have to get rid of it ... LOL Just kidding. I really do like it. I haven't really used my others in awhile but I think I'm going to test every one of them out for sharpness. See how that goes.
sorry you don't like it though..
i haven't really noticed anything but i probably will now.

I do hear great things about the 85 1.2, but a bit out of my range
But, I actually want something wider than the 50. I just sometimes need more room than the 50 will allow. But then again, I don't want to have to be in eveyone's faces...don't know what to do now. Sorry, thinking out loud.
Ok now I feel like I made the right choice when I was choosing between the Tamron 28-75mm and the 35mm prime. It was love at first click with my 35mm. Oh and ditto the making me want more lenses, lol.
