    Default jmk for cc

I still need to buy a baseboard to make them look better but for starters what do you think?
Evan did NOT want to stay put (even though before he was like all excited sigh the life of toddler haha)

This is my floor in the sunroom, window to his right, speedlight bounced off the window.
All are 1/80 F4 iso200 only difference that caused background colour change was where I bounced flash (all still off window just various angles)

    3. I had trouble with the lighting on this one, I think b/c I turned my camera around and had trouble bouncing the same way

    Your son is so cute

I like these for your first attempt...im just not sure how I like your backdrop with that floor.

Also, did you sharpen for web? They don't look as sharp as they could be.

Very cute shots! I know all about trying to photograph a wiggly preschool boy!

I really like the lollipop shot; however, I think it would have more impact if he were wearing a solid color shirt so that the emphasis went right to the bright colors of the candy and to his face.

From #3, it looks like he made short work of that lollipop!

#1 had the best lighting IMO. The other two is too bright/hot spot. Looks like the focus fell on the stuff animal tho. Great job on these. I would maybe slight turn him a bit so that he is somewhat facing the window.

I agree with this. My eye is drawn to the place where the backdrop meets the floor. It is distracting.

ya this is why I'm going to buy baseboard so there won't be that weird end to the fabric. I didn't realize it would change so drastically the colours, I bought it because it was fairly cheap and a nice grey. My first attempt was supposed to be with a small piece of plexi that I bought but I couldn't keep the fabric up and my dear dear hubby while he loves the photos and loves that I have a hobby told me that this was my hobby and he won't come hold grr men!!

    I thought I sharpened but now I don't remember.

I thought of this but I can't physically get him to sit on a slight angle b/c getting him to stay in any position is a challenge. (for the shot with the animal he decided the puppy needed his picture taken and ran in and sat down)
I thought next time I would angle the backdrop but b/c that is my floor not fake flooring I didn't think that would work b/c the angles on the floor would be distracting? Is that right?
Of course if I figure out the plexi I would angle the backdrop 45deg

He def made short work of it, I actually did the mean mommy thing and took it away, I didn't think I should let him eat the whole thing. I should've had a different shirt, the lolli was a last minute "please let me attempt this" bribe

I completely understand how hard it is to get those toddlers to sit still or sit where you want them to!! Oh, the frustrations

I agree, the seam from floor to backdrop is just a bit too obvious. I think once you get a piece of base board it will look a lot better.

Love his expression in #1 with the dog. Too sweet.

I am def frustrated that I didn't buy the baseboard this weekend. I really wasn't planning to use the backdrop this way without
oh well, glad I'm on the right track, thats a start right and I have a few ideas in mind for holding the backdrop so I can do the plexi

I know I'm a little late here and you've already gotten a lot of great responses, so I just want to say how CUTE your little guy is!!! His pics really make me smile (& miss having a little man like that in the house).
