JMK for CC

I need more practice!! I got my daughter out at a pretty spot with my new chair (free!). Lighting was a bit more than I wanted because we didn't get out as quickly as I had hoped. I'm not thrilled with how these turned out, but I'll give it another shot tomorrow morning.

I tried to fix the blown spot on her dress and chair in ACR, but it was too far gone to recover. Are there any other tricks I could use?

An out take, but I thought it was cute (we couldn't get her to let go of that bubble gun!)

What a fun place for pictures and a major score on the chair! In te first 1, I like the lighting and haze, wih we had eye contact, but kids ae tough! The second one is sweet, I love it. My only cheat for fixing blown spots is to create a new layer, select a slightly less blown part of the dress or chair for color match, then paint in the blown spots and lower the opacity until it blends well... #3 I love cute outtake Smile

This is actually my neighbor across the street's front yard Lol I was backing out of my driveway yesterday morning and saw the spot in my rearview mirror and thought it would be nice. So across the street we went this morning. I think it turned out nice. I need to pull the chair back a bit more next time, though.

I'll have to try out your cheat for that blown spot, thanks!

I like them. Cute dress and cute chair and especially cute girl Smile My only CC is to change the angle a bit so you are more at her eye level. It looks like you are a little below in these.

cute!!

1. this is my favorite, I really like it. but the angle isn't good. you want to be more above her. I love how the sun gives a little haze here, it's nice.

2. your colors are different in this one compared to the one above. I really don't like how centered she is here. I actually do like centered photos for some things, but this one just seems to need a different composition. I know you like the chair, but maybe you could try a closer crop on her.

3. cracking up about the bubble gun. that would happen here for sure. love the background bokeh here.

#1 is my favorite too. I like the soft look with the sun haze. I agree about the angle though. Wish you weren't so low to the ground but still, very cute!

Thanks girls for the feedback!

I seem to have to levels. Standing up or squating (which I did A LOT OF). I guess I need to find an in between. I see what you're saying about being too low. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Gwen, I've been trying to crop that second one differently, I just can't seem to find a pleasing crop Sad I'll keep trying though.

I agree to try some different angles. My other suggestion would be to get in closer to her, close up your ap a bit (like you already said) and dont worry too much about choping some chair, to get her eyes nice and crisp. JMO Smile she is adorable by the way!

You've already gotten a lot of good feedback, but I just can't help myself ... she is just TOO CUTE for words!

Your neighbors have a lovely yard and that white chair looks GREAT next to it. Pull the chair a bit more away from the background next time. That will make the bokeh more creamy.

As for the crop on #2 ... I'd really love to see a nice tight crop ... just below the seat of the chair. She looks SO CUTE here! I love the bare feet.

TFS!
