    Default JMK: first cloning attempt

I took this picture of my son out in the snow yesterday and although he's not looking at the camera, I just really like his ruddy cheeks from the cold and his kind of "lost in thought" expression and what not, so I decided to play around with it a bit.

I've never really done any cloning or anything, so I'm not sure what to think. Any advice/thoughts/tips for me on this attempt? (CC on the photo itself is fine too.)

    SOOC:

    Edit:

FYI, settings were SS 1/125, ISO 200, f5.0.

    TIA!

Looks good to me! It might be a good idea to try brightening the photo a tad though. He is SOOO cute!

Great job! If you hadn't posted the SOCC, I would never have known where you cloned!

Oh yay! So often I think something looks good and then I see CC on it and realize that you ladies have a much better eye than I do and notice things I don't... so I was curious to see if what I thought looked OK actually DID look OK. So glad to know this turned out OK! I'm excited to be able to try the cloning tool a bit more often now that I've given it a good shot here. Thanks for the feedback.

(Oh, good call on lightening it, too -- haven't posted it, but I lightened the midtones a bit and it looks a lot better now, thanks!)

I think you did a good job. There's a small speck of pink on the bottom right of the photo, but other than that- great job!

What a cutie! I like the crop and I wouldn't have been able to tell you cloned anything had you not said something!
