Ok... just wanted to share a few of MY kids...
This is my 6 yr old Austyn.. she's such a little model, so serious
Here is my 2 yr old Korbin.. LOVE his eyes! he's the only of my 4 that got the blue eyes!
My 9 month old Kamryn - she's such a sweetie pie
i need to take a new one of my oldest - he just had surgery on his face (had a large mole removed).. the most recent pic i have of him is about 3 hours post surgery .. i've been waiting on his cut to heal a little and take some for him with his new look!
and... I wanted to post a couple from my favorite maternity shoot.. this was like 2 weeks after I got my new camera.. she is a good friend of mine so we went and "played" at the park.. she is such a beautiful pg mama!! This was also take the day before I lost my hearing.. I was having a really hard time hearing her that day at the park and we were talking about that.. the next day I woke up and couldn't even hear the water running when i brushed my teeth.
this is my FAVORITE picture of mine (besides the ones of my kids..lol)
and last but not least... she was making a funny face so i tried to salvage what I could b/c i really liked the rest of the pic..
Tasha!(for those that don't know, Tasha was MY doula while I was pregnant with Matty. She is sAWESOME!!!)
Do you happen to have your settings for the pics? I can lookthem up on flickr, but they always help to give suggestions.
1. I love the dramatic lighting on Austin. Very pretty and even. Comp wise, I like that she isn't totally off center, but her eyes should probably be moved up a little more so they are in the top 1/3. I would also tone down the eyes a tad. They are over done for my taste.
2.Korbin's eyes are AMAZING! I love them. Jut watch for chin chops. It is considered acceptable to chop heads, but not chins for the most part.
3.Kammy's color is a little off. I could be wrong, but it looks like a white balance issue. She looks really cool to me. I would tone down her eyes a tad too.
4. Very nice, just a tad underexposed.
5. What's awesome about this pic is that there is no dabbled light. That's HARD to do in that park! Very nice. I like how the lines of the bridge lead into her. She IS a beauty. The eyes are popped a bit here too.
You guys, Tasha is so great and so talented. She has had her camera about 1-2 mo. less than I've had mine. She has improved so much. And like me, so far she is self taught. Ya'll remember the pics I tok of her Kammy a few months ago? She is such a doll.
YAY for jumping in Tasha. You'll love these women. I have learned so so much from them all.
haha.. Hi Kelly!
Thanks for the cc - thought I'd explain a few things though to clarify
1&2 are in camera crops (still learning to not do that as much but with a fast moving toddler.. well.. you know.. you take what you get..LOL).. the only thing I did with Korbs pic was bring it down a little on the forehead and a little on the right side.. but the chin was in camera ..whoops.
the pic of kammy.. that was taken right before dark outside, it actually looked exactly like that outside as it looks in the picture, so I don't know if that means there is a white balance issue if that is what it really looked like?? i dunno..lol
the pic of "g" on her back, I actually did that on purpose... I loved how that looked, it's an action called "soft and faded" from pioneer woman and I tweaked it to my taste and then softened it a bit more. I have definately learned that photography is a lot about "rules" but also a LOT about individual taste/style... if you know "G", she is a VERY simple and "natural/earthy" girl.. I was going for earthy tones so it's just her raw beauty. hope that makes sence...
you have really cute kids!!!
I love the moodiness of the first one. my 6 year old is a little model too, don't you just love it?
love Korbin's eyes, that one is just lovely.
the color is definitely off in the 3rd, she looks gray to me. maybe slightly underexposed too?
the maternity shots are lovely. I think you should play with the crop on that last one a little more. the head chop is way too close to her neck to look right. but I get what you're going for.
I like the conversion, although I think it needs a tad more contrast ... and all of the limb chopping bugs me. can you crop so it's just her face/chest?
I like it much better!
much stronger image.
