Default Just a share from today =)

I'm so glad I took my dslr with me this time! And I took my speed light too. I usually never take it. Beats me why. Sometimes I take my dslr but usually I feel silly taking it. I don't know. I guess it's a confidence issue. But I am working on that right now. I've lost 22 pounds (probably will gain a pound of two from all the good food i've been eating lately ) And I think that's helped a lot when it comes to confidence!!! Anyway, I'm soooo glad I took it with me. I got some great shots of my kids from today. St. Lucy's day (Santa Lucia) All the kids dress in white and carry around these battery operated candles and walk around the daycare singing a song. It's cute! And after we all had breakfast. I just wanted to share! I don't think I ever want to go back to my point and shoot for simple snapshots anymore. Now I know why Gwen shoots in RAW all the time. I love it even for simple snapshots with flash and all! Takes awhile to edit but I can do sooo much more than just jpegs!

I set it up and gave it to DH to snap a few of me and my kids

there was a big gap in the line and people started wondering where all the kids went, Jeanette was the first to emerge. everyone was laughing

Mikael caused the gap in the line lol He got a bit scared since it was pretty dark. They turned off all the lights and there were flashes going off everywhere. Yeah that'd scare me too.

poor boy so scared and confused...he didn't cry that much though.

Jeanette was having a great time! The three women behind all had Canon dslr's. lol

breakfast! Jeanette really loves the ends of the loaves of bread. She always asks for them They are good! Especially the daycares bread. They make them fresh every day for the kids

typical Norwegian breakfast...open faced sandwiches I am definitely going to keep offering breakfasts like these in the future once we move! And I'm going to have to get the daycare's recipe for bread! Mmm!

That's the one thing our family does make for Thanksgiving. I am thinking my Great Grandma was Norweigan, so that's one traditional we carry on. YUM!

Looks like a really nice time! I rarely take my speedlite along with me either. Sometimes I think I should, but I feel like my husband rolls his eyes at me and just doesn't want me to mess with it, so I wind up leaving it at home.

doesn't matter what anyone thinks! it takes better flash photos than your on camera flash! I also have a diffuser on it though. I love it! I don't ever want to go back. Now I just need a really good camera bag to store it all in
