Which cut out our power which we were without for 24 hours. The snow came at around 5pm, so we had a white Christmas! It was gorgeous, and we hear it was the most snow Arkansas has seen in 89 years! We didn't measure it ourselves, but a friend posted a picture of the tape measure in the snow and it was about 10 inches. 10!! When we moved here, we never expected to see any good amount of snow for the kids to play in. Then we couldn't let the kids play in it since we didn't have power, which meant no heat to warm up in. But the power came back on around 4pm yesterday!! So they got to play in it after all!
Here's Drew teaching Jackson how to make a snow angel. His whole life we haven't had enough snow accumulation (even in IL) for him to learn ;)

Definitely a memorable Christmas for us!
I'm so behind on photos because of the holidays, hopefully I can catch up in the new year.
Great pictures Stephanie. Your boys look so engaged with their trains. I haven't had a chance to look at all my Christmas pictures but I did want to share one. DH got me a fisheye lens that connects to my nifty fifty.

Love your photos guys! Stephanie, that shot of the two of them in front of the tree is great! Wish I could have gotten something like that, but mine were far too mobile and uncooperative.
El, love that fisheye shot!
It was so hard to get the photos I wanted this year...so I just gave up eventually and just went for snaps. LOL
Christmas Eve:
Nathan....he has discovered a terrible fake smile and it is so frustrating trying to get him to smile his genuine smile for photos these days. This is his genuine smile...it was not easily gotten.

Amber, those shots are so awesome! I know they're just snaps, but they're such great memories. I think you succeeded with the glow-y tree pic :)
Hi! I've been MIA for a bit, but Christmas finally got me out of my photo funk. I had a great time snapping this Christmas. These are mostly just snaps but enjoy!

Everyone your pictures are fantastic!
Amber - You did a great job capturing the glow of the tree!
My trees lighting failed after about 10 minutes of being on (and of course it was already decorated, and it's built in lighting so no chance of fixing it), so I didn't get too many pictures of it glowing.
Jill, love your backlit one!!!! Great job! And the one of Cooper with the violin. I think you captured Christmas perfectly!!
I hesitate to share as mine all have totally awfully white balance and other problems. But it took us so long to get our computer back up and running that I just processed them very quickly and didn't fix everything. But here's some favourites from the season:
Christmas morning:
