And my favorite was just this Instagram pic.

We got ice:

Which cut out our power which we were without for 24 hours. The snow came at around 5pm, so we had a white Christmas! It was gorgeous, and we hear it was the most snow Arkansas has seen in 89 years! We didn't measure it ourselves, but a friend posted a picture of the tape measure in the snow and it was about 10 inches. 10!! When we moved here, we never expected to see any good amount of snow for the kids to play in. Then we couldn't let the kids play in it since we didn't have power, which meant no heat to warm up in. But the power came back on around 4pm yesterday!! So they got to play in it after all!

Here's Drew teaching Jackson how to make a snow angel. His whole life we haven't had enough snow accumulation (even in IL) for him to learn Wink

Oh, and the snowballs Wink

Definitely a memorable Christmas for us!

I'm so behind on photos because of the holidays, hopefully I can catch up in the new year.

Great pictures Stephanie. Your boys look so engaged with their trains. I haven't had a chance to look at all my Christmas pictures but I did want to share one. DH got me a fisheye lens that connects to my nifty fifty.

Love your photos guys! Stephanie, that shot of the two of them in front of the tree is great! Wish I could have gotten something like that, but mine were far too mobile and uncooperative.

El, love that fisheye shot!

It was so hard to get the photos I wanted this year...so I just gave up eventually and just went for snaps. LOL

Christmas Eve:

Nathan....he has discovered a terrible fake smile and it is so frustrating trying to get him to smile his genuine smile for photos these days. This is his genuine smile...it was not easily gotten.

Tried and TRIED to get a portrait of the two of them. I failed.

James was not at all cooperative on Christmas Eve. This is the best I got.

Nathan wanted a picture of me tickling him. You got it kid!

You guys all seem to get such lovely tree glow pictures. I tried...but not sure how well I did.

Love it, El!! Can't wait to see some more, too Smile

Amber, those shots are so awesome! I know they're just snaps, but they're such great memories. I think you succeeded with the glow-y tree pic Smile

Hi! I've been MIA for a bit, but Christmas finally got me out of my photo funk. I had a great time snapping this Christmas. These are mostly just snaps but enjoy!

My first "successful" backlit shot! Smile

Everyone your pictures are fantastic!

Amber - You did a great job capturing the glow of the tree!

My trees lighting failed after about 10 minutes of being on (and of course it was already decorated, and it's built in lighting so no chance of fixing it), so I didn't get too many pictures of it glowing.

I hesitate to share as mine all have totally awfully white balance and other problems. But it took us so long to get our computer back up and running that I just processed them very quickly and didn't fix everything. But here's some favourites from the season:

A present under my parents' tree:

And just a few from home before we went away... the first because it just cracks me up:
Christmas... fun?!

I am so disgusted in myself and my Christmas photos. My speedlight is broke (still waiting to get it fixed) and I just had to use auto. I upped the ISO to H3.0 and my shutterspeed wouldn't go any higher than 80, so I switched to auto. With that being said, I have a few.

I love seeing everyones Christmas photos. Sadie, I think you did great with the hurdles you faced.

I mostly videotaped Christmas morning and what photos I did take the kids were just in singlets and underpants so I won't post. I have a few to share from later in the day and our holiday / New Year's though. Mostly just snaps.

Oooh such wonderful pictures from EVERYONE.

Without looking, I know I didn't take anything "wonderful" on Xmas, just super-quick snaps....my card was almost full, and I was so busy and just wanted to enjoy Eva and my sweetheart opening their gifts without being too distracted by taking pics.

I will check mine out and post asap if any are worth looking at lol.

Bit late to the game, but here are a few I took. Just snaps. I was still trying to get used to my speedlight, and our current living room doesn't make for "clean" pictures because of how packed it is with furniture. But I'm still happy with the moments they capture.

I do believe this is his favorite toy of all. He LOVES making music. Smile

She was so excited to unwrap this one.

They were saying each letter as they picked them up. So smart!

She was naming all of the animals as she showed them to me.

These last two were taken at my mom's. Aiden is playing with the felt baby Jesus from the nativity my mom made.

This latch board was another of her favorites.

Now this one is just from my phone, but I love this little grin. Smile

I only took a handful of "snap" pics that day of Eva opening gifts, but I do have some more interesting Christmas photos that I am pretty sure I have not yet shared here.

1. the requisite starburst lights shot.....

3. love taking ornaments shots in their natural glow of the lights....

7. my fave

8. I love this angel...

And I have a bunch of iPhone photos that I love that I am going to add shortly. Smile
