    Default Light Metering Question

What do you typically use? I have never changed this because I really just don't know enough about it. So I have always used the default, Evaluative metering (I have a Canon, not sure if other cameras have different names for the different types). I want to do a shoot with the girls tomorrow with a white background. I was thinking of changing it to either Partial or Spot metering (center 9 or 4%). Will this help me get them better exposed and get the background brighter?

Any other tips for setting with a white background? I am going to use our LL Bean sled and try to get a "wintery" theme.

I use spot metering basically all the time. I think spot is the way to go.

Awesome! I think I will have to give it a try at least. Now lets just hope the girls coorporate tomorrow, since DH won't be home. Oh this should be an adventure for sure!
