Talking (A little OT) When shooting a model?

Do the agencies they are represented by give you a hard time?

I was just wondering since I may have my very own model on my hands. I just got a call that Matty is a finalist for the grand prize of the Campbell Agency's Dallas model search. He'd get $500, clothing plus a one year modeling contract with Campbell. Anyways, here is the info on the event itself from an email I got after the phone call:

Hi Grapevine Mills Mall Model Search Entrants,

Thank-you so much for making The CuteKid™ Model Search a huge success! What a great
group of Cute Kids we saw and what a fun time was had by all at both the model search and
    the fashion show.

The Campbell Agency is eagerly reviewing all entrants to select the Grand Prize winner who will land a 1-year modeling contract plus $500. There will also be 10 finalists who will win a free entry into The CuteKid™ contest!

The Campbell Agency was so impressed by the turnout in Texas, that some of the 10 finalists will be offered representation as well!

There's more... There is still a chance for your cutie to be seen by industry professionals & to win thousands in prizes. The September CuteKid contest is underway. Enter your child for a shot to be in the running to be named 2009's CuteKid of the Year, offering a $25,000 college fund Grand Prize, National exposure & more.

Stay tuned to The CuteKid for the announcement of the Model Search winner and finalists on
    Sept. 15th.

Good luck to all the Texas Model Search Entrants!

Nice!! Funny you should post this now, I JUST signed Jasper up for that site like 2 days ago before I realized you have to pay $20 to have them considered for stuff.. it seemed kind of like a scam so I didn't do it. Did you pay the $20? Just wondering if it's the real deal..

That is AWESOME Sweet girl! Congrats to all of you! Most agencies don't care where the photos are from as long as they have some to view. Assuming Matty is the grand prize winner, they will most likely want to take their own photos as well, with all of their specialized photogs etc... But as far as port's go, shoot away girl! I used to work at a few different agencies and when I found pictures that I really liked, I would find out the photog credit, and contact info and share it with others who were looking to build their modeling port

Just my 2 cents! love you! congrats again!

Thanks girls. I am super excited, but not taking it serious untll the 15th. Besides, he'll probably just get a t-shirt or something with his free entry to the monthly little contests they run.

NO! Actually, we went to one of their hosted events in town. The Campbell Agency is a local agency and just used Cute Kid as the sponser. There were alomst 10,000 that showed up to that casting call if I remember correctly. It was a zoo! We paid the casting fee of $25 and just had Matty go up on stage, walk a bit and they took his picture. It was a little high key set up with 2 reflecting umbrellas.

They narrowed it down to 10. Those 10 get a free entry in the Cute Kid little monthly contest and a t-shirt so like a $25 value. Then there is the grand prize winner that gets $500, clothes and a year contract. But I guess Campbell is offering contracts to some of the other 9 as well. So there is always hope that Someone could show interrest in Matt even if he doesn't get the $500, ya know. Anyways, it's fun to pretend we'd win something I suppose.
